Gärten der Welt in Berlin is an exemplary blend of international garden design and innovative recreational attractions.
The park invites visitors to explore a world of meticulously crafted landscapes while offering playful and educational experiences.
Among its most striking features are the flying gondolas (ticketed separately), which transport guests high above the themed gardens. These glass-walled cabins provide breathtaking panoramic views and a unique perspective on the park’s harmonious integration of nature and urban design.
Another thrilling attraction is the bob car ride (ticketed separately). This nature bobsled run turns the park’s gentle slopes into an exhilarating course, offering an exciting blend of physics, natural topography, and imaginative engineering. The bob car ride adds an element of adventure that contrasts beautifully with the serene garden settings, inviting both young and old to experience the park in a dynamic way.
Equally enchanting is the playground centered around a giant climbing whale. This whimsical structure encourages physical activity and creative play, transforming a simple play area into an interactive art installation. The playground’s oversized features and vibrant design stimulate the imagination while providing a safe and engaging environment for children.
In every corner, Gärten der Welt demonstrates how thoughtful design can combine cultural inspiration with modern recreational elements. It is a destination where art, nature, and engineering converge, creating a memorable experience that delights the senses and sparks intellectual curiosity.
Every element, from soaring cable cars to adrenaline-pumping rides and imaginative playgrounds, reflects a masterful interplay between art and functional design, leaving...
Read moreLoved it! I would highly recommend both the garden and the cable car ride. Very affordable, good for all ages, and definitely good exercise. I think it would also be a great place for a date. Don’t eat beforehand, as there are several café and dining options located throughout the gardens. The English Garden has a café with English-style finger foods, and there’s a restaurant in the Chinese Garden. There are several more small spots to grab food as well.
We’re from the US and got a bit lost on the ride out from Berlin. We entered through the Blumberger Damm entrance, located at the southwest corner of the park. Once we got to the general area, Google Maps actually directed us to the building next door. A kind gentleman gave us directions. We started by riding the cable car up and back. It offers great views and moves at a nice pace. The staff were friendly and helpful.
After the cable ride, we entered the garden through a gate right beside the cable car station. It has a QR code reader and a turnstile, which didn’t work very well with a phone QR code compared to a printed ticket. Eventually, some local girls passed through and kindly gave us an extra ticket, and the two of us squeezed through one turnstile together.
Immediately inside, there’s a small section with gardens for the USA, Chile, and maybe a few others. Honestly, they were almost offensively bad. So bad I thought, “Oh no, we paid for this?” But just keep walking—once you find the main information building, the real park begins just beyond that.
Wonder place. I could spend hours there. Be sure to check out the Balinese area in whay looks like a huge...
Read moreNice place with many options for walking around! Unfortunately my friend and i didn't have much time, so we didn't see everything, but what we saw was absolutely gorgeous. And these country bears were also really cute, but maybe placement of the bear of russia is inappropriate, considering their actions nowadays. Furthermore, i would say that the first gardens, which i saw, were quite disappointing (im talking about the gardens of some countries as Taiwan, USA etc, which were made by the architects from these countries). They were no fun and looked absolutely not impressive. At that point i already thought buying a ticket was a mistake, but then i went into the centre of Garden of the World and already there i have found really interesting and fascinating spots. Such gardens as Chinese, Koreanisch and Japanese gardens were absolutely lovely (i am attaching the photos from these gardens). Moreover, the greenhouse was also very beautiful. You can leave your luggage in the lockers (they're small), what i find quite practical. However the building, where you lock your bags, closes at 18:30 and the park closes at 20:00, what means you have to take your begs away on time and don't forget about it. Because of that i had not to go far away from lockers and this was kinda irritating. The cafe near the lockers hadn't got a various menu, nothing interesting. But the Chinese cafe was pretty cool despite the high prices (the green tea was shitty tho). All in all, a great place to spend your day in. You can relax and maybe find something new...
