Anneliese Brost Musikforum Ruhr — Attraction in Bochum

It was a first for us, my partner and I! We are concert and music lovers and moved to Bochum at the height of the Coronavirus pandemic but until last Saturday ( 18th June 2022) there were limited possibilities to attend live performances. . Our visit was very satisfying on two levels . The concert itself ( Baroque music) was delightful but so was our first experience in the Annaliese Brost Music Forum. A bright and airy venue . A modern "no frills" concert hall built alongside the converted former Mariankirche , which currently serves as a foyer, cloakroom and bar for visitors , and also a smaller small room for chamber music. Unfortunately numbers in the concert hall were rather low , but it has a very pleasing acoustic, is light airy and comfortable, and staff are friendly and helpful. Had the pleasure of visiting concert halls in Bochum Mulheim and Essen during Rhur piano festival and AnnelieseBrost is my favorite. Staff are really nice and willing to help; Comfy concert seats with linen and embroidered seat number on the back. Enough space under the seat in front for stretching legs; Amazing architecture no matter outside or inside, no matter day or night, mint are distributed outside, which help senior audience from coughing (which is one of the few things in the world that cannot be concealed) - very...

Das Anneliese Brost Musikforum ist eine Wohltat für Augen und Ohren. Die restaurierte Kirche, die als Foyer dient, ist in weiß gehalten mit kleinen Akzenten an den Kirchenfenstern. Diese schlichte Optik ist sehr schön anzusehen. Auch der gesamte Entwurf des Forums spricht mir zu, hier wurde wirklich an alles gedacht. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit, die Preise für Getränke vielleicht etwas überzogen, aber bezahlbar. Die sanitären Anlagen, liegen etwas verdeckt, aber sind sehr sauber und angenehm zu betreten. Der große Saal der rund 1000 Leute beherbergt war Veranstaltungsort für das Konzert, dem ich beiwohnte. Die Akustik ist wunderbar, alles klingt sehr sauber und definiert. Die Plätze sind, im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Konzerthäusern, recht bequem, vielleicht etwas eng. Der große Saal ist allgemein sehr stilvoll, auch hier hat man das Gefühl "Schönheit durch Schlichheit". Ein Blick ist die Decke des Saals wert, die eine faszinierende Wirkung auf mich hatte.
