There are several churches I recently visited in the historic centre of Esslingen including Frauenkirche located just north of Berlinerstrasse. It is worth making time to see if you are planning to visit Esslingen and enjoy seeing historic churches.
Constructed between 1325-1516, Frauenkirche is considered the first Gothic Hall church in Southwest Germany. The exterior is attractive architecturally, highlighted by the detailed entrances and 72-metre tall ornamental spire. The interior features a traditional tall and narrow nave with vaulted ceiling along with two side aisles.
