Schloss Oldenburg — Attraction in Oldenburg

Very pleasant visit, quiet and not at all crowded. Unfortunately the exhibit/ explanatory labels next to each exhibit were in German language only, so I missed the detailed understanding of much that was exhibited. The museum could easily add English explanatory notes to the exhibits. Compare this to the Augusteum gallery just on the other side of the canal, where all paintings had explanatory labels in both German...

Really beautiful place , l was so happy until l found out money went missing in my bag upon leaving, my trip was extremely disturbed by that, couldn’t even make my Christmas shopping after that, it’s really a shame for money to be stolen there because the cross of Jesus Christ and even Martin Luther and a lot of Oldenburg, Bremen, Delmenhorst history is there. Amazing place. I only had 3 hours for the Schloss and the other two more buildings plus the special exhibition. I could have stayed all day in there and I wouldn't get tired. The collection can range from the Renaissance to Nazis, fashion clothes from the 1950s, Impressionism, Expressionism (which I knew little about) and from 1st October 2020 also Russian Czar family paintings.
