I would highly recommend visiting this beach if you are visiting the Trogir/Split area. We had a car and booked a spot on the ferry so we didn't have to wait for a bus to take us to the beach. There is a parking lot that has shade just north of the beach that has pay by the day (so you can leave and come back if you want).

The beach itself wraps around a peninsula so you can decide where you can go to adjust for sun and wind. There are also chairs available to rent either through a QR code or from a person who walk around; highly recommended as the beach is stones and gets quite hot in the sun.

The beach has buoys outlining the swimming area and the water was quite clear- the scenery around is also very nice as there are mountain behind. There are also several activities on the beach available as well, for kids there is a very large inflatable obstacle course on the water, and there is also kayaks and SUP to rent as well.

There is food and beverages available a short walk from the beach in the shaded areas in the trees. There are showers available close to the parking area, there are quite large and cost 2 EURO to utilize (male and female washrooms available).

Recommendations/notes:

  1. keep and eye on the wind and waves, at the point of the peninsula the waves all of a sudden got quite large and swept over the beach soaking many beach goers.

  2. Make sure you show up early for your ferry if you are taking a car across. Even though you have a ticket it does not guarantee you a spot and is first come first serve. We showed up 30 minutes before our departure from island and we luckily got on as last car but there a dozen cars they had to leave behind who had tickets and they had to wait hours...

Zlatni rat is one of the most beautiful beaches in the Mediterranean with a pine forest and crystal clear sea. But when you step on the beach the impression changes quickly because you will feel like you are in an anthill and when you enter the sea I was like in a fish pond. The crowd was great even though it was September. You will surely empty your pockets on the beach because everything is paid for and prices are high. Sunbeds cost €12 each and a parasol costs an additional €12. There are even three points for water sports, the offer is rich, the prices are uniform and high. Aqua park costs €15 per person for 30 minutes. The offer of fast food is also rich, the cheapest food is a small slice of pizza that costs €5. There is only one toilet on the entire beach and the only shower is located in the same place. Using the toilet costs €1, taking a shower costs €2.50, and if you need a towel to wipe yourself after showering, it's another €1. There is a queue to use the toilet and shower. There are also several beach bars with pleasant music, but they are expensive. The pine forest on the very beach where I used to be able to lie is now mostly filled with fast food kiosks and beach bars. It is recommended that you take everything you can with you, water and other drinks, sandwiches, and a parasol is recommended. The beach, or the return to the city, can be reached by boat, which costs €4 per person in each direction. The same service is offered by little tourist train with the same price of €4 per person in...

I don't even know where to start describing this place. It's absolutely amazing and wonderful. Had a great time here, even tho I only spent 4 days. I came here in the first night when arrived in Bol. Water was warm and clean that evening and I knew where I'll spend every day of my stay.

Got here next day at 9am and wanted to rent a sun bed and an umbrella on left-hand side of the beach but the guy said we are not allowed to open the umbrella because of the strong wind and he advised us to go on the other side of the beach, on right-hand side. Got there, paid 140 KUNA for 2 sun beds (70 KUNA each) and no umbrella was needed (70 KUNA/day) because we had some shade from the pine trees.

During the afternoon wind changed and moved from the left-hand side to right-hand side (our side) and we had some waves as well. Kids around loved it. When we left that day we noticed that there's no wind on left-hand side and we spent the wole day, next day, there.

There's a variety of bars in the pine forest where you can buy food, drinks, fruits and refreshments:

33KUNA for about half pint of beer 40KUNA for chips with 8 cheese balls or 8 chicken nuggets or 4 cheese balls plus 4 chicken nuggets 25KUNA for a large cup of watermelon, which by the way is one of the sweetest, juiciest watermelon I ever had.

One of my favourite beaches. As others probably mentioned, this is a pebble beach so sea shoes are recommended although not...
