Fanari Beach — Attraction in Argostoli Municipality

The weather was cool at around 24°c and the water was nice and warm with just enough sand. we had a great time in the water as a family. It wasn't too deep at about 2' to 4' foot deep for a long way out . There is very little shelter from the sun as no parasol, but we got one in the town and took it with us . Good for snorkelling, and no rock climbing needed...

Our accommodation was right opposite this beach. It was perfect for a quick swim or an early morning splash! The waters are shallow and crystal clear. Also, it is sandy inside, which is a pleasure for your feet after you've experienced some of the Kefalonian rocky treasures. Not the prettiest shore, but definitely a very charming...

Stopping in Argostoli so walked here one, about 30 minutes walk. Nice quite beach which is excellent for snorkelling with gradual slope into the sea. No sunbeds or parasols. But does have a couple of showers. Has a couple of restaurants / bars close by, ideal for a drink once finished...
