Fanari Restaurant — Restaurant in Argostoli Municipality

Was near our hotel, and visited this restaurant twice over two days. Authentic Greek food especially the flavourful house tzatziki and the fried anchovies/calamari, but everything we ordered was delicious and devoured completely.

The oregano seasoning used on the salads and perfectly cooked french fries was really special. We asked for the moussaka and was pleased to find out that there was one portion left from the day before (daily special) - thank you to the waitress who made our day by checking with the chef.

All the staff were attentive and friendly. Very reasonable prices considering the freshness and the sizes. Would fly back to the restaurant if I could! Wonderful view as well of the blue skies and gentle waves of the sea, where we watched people kiteboarding.

Recommend you pay with cash though as their card payment system is a bit slow. Otherwise, highly,...

I really love this place. I camped here for 3 weeks last year and wanted to bring my mum back. The same lovely lady greeted us, she is super friendly and always has a lovely smile and so happy and proud of her restaurant. She is just the sweetest. The food is amazing we got saganaki, Greek salad and sea bream and it was fantastic. The best service, the best staff- our waitress was so lovely and attentive she was very busy and worked really hard. She also had awesome English. She knew and catered for me being gluten free and made sure the food was safe. And gave great reccomendations. She even gave us free ice cream. All the staff were great and working very hard. At the time we were there it was not busy. A delightful funny lady approached us to eat there which we were going to anyway, but it made her feel good to get us in to eat. We had salmon and muscles. The salmon was described by the better half as the best she had ever had and the muscles were beautiful. Someone said they were disappointed as the sause was quite thick, yes the sause is thick but the taste was sooooo nice. I would count this as a negative, but each to their own.
