If you’re alone, not dressing in a fancy way and not up to discrimination please don’t go! Never ever had such a bad experience in a restaurant like I had in this one (and I travel quite a lot). Was already quite late on the evening and the waitress offered me, after doubled check, two tables where I could seat...none of them facing the sea (after asking for that, I was told that the others were reserved... I left close to 10 pm and they stilled unoccupied). Foodwise, waitress not sure about the dishes... assured me that a dish that I was looking didn’t have meat, but came after few minutes saying that in the end there was some meat on it so I had to choose something else (which was not at all a problem). I ended up interest in a start, but one more time the guy was not able to explain me from what the dish was made from - which for me was kind of surprising as the restaurant looks itself so smart and so on. Looks like that they think for putting small pieces of ingredients make them being gourmet...unfortunately the quality doesn’t match with it! I could go further but this would mean that I had to go through sad details which I don’t...
Read moreFood is good, probably overpriced but you pay for the place which is indeed amazing. The problem with this restaurant is mainly service. Don’t expect a smile from waiters or from owner/staff. They don’t really make you feel at ease, they are not very polite, english level is below zero (the guy wasn’t even capable of explaining what’s in a sauce nor even telling me something about the wine). Low to zero attention to gluten free options, as the waiter was barely capable of telling you what’s in the dish. When you ask for them they make strange gestures with hands not even replying to you. From beginning to end it seemed like we were not welcomed in here (despite we were 7 on a monday night). They don’t accept American Express, pity for the luxury place they pretend to appeal. WCs partially broken, a nightmare considering the price they ask you. Location aside, friends from the world don’t come here for dinner, have a...
Read moreThe negative reviews are, in my opinion, unfair. We ate dinner one evening here to watch the sun go down. It wasn't busy at all, so the atmosphere was maybe a little subdued. No wait for a table and we seated right by the open gkass doors overlooking the sea.
The service was good, polite, attentive but not "in your face". All portions were a good size, the arincini with roquefort cheese in " angel hair" fine pasta strands partially so.
For mains, rolled chicken with shrimp and the pork tenderloin. Both well presented and cooked just right. No deserts as we were full, but the coffee was good. Wine reasonably priced for the type of establishment it is aiming to be.
It's a drive or taxi out from Argostoli but easy enough to find.
Overall, it was a good dining experience, not the cheapest in Argostoli, but if you just want your standard Greek fayre, it's...
