Lighthouse Villas — Hotel in Argostoli Municipality

We had an amazing time at Lighthouse Villas. We had a minor fiasco with another rental place and I reached out to Lighthouse late at night and they happened to have an opening and accommodated us. I can't describe how relieved we were that they were so willing to drive and meet us to let us into the house. Vaggelis and his brother were both so kind. Vaggelis met us and showed us the place. It's absolutely beautiful and so well kept. There are two full bathrooms--with full, large showers. We were able to use the dishwasher and washing machine--both so helpful when traveling with kids. The property is right across from the water. There is a small beach nearby. There's a little campground next door and they have a cafe where we could walk to and get coffee. We could see the sun set from our front porch. Our kids loved the pool and we spent a lot of time enjoying the pool/outdoor area/playing chess on the back deck. This place is not within walking distance to the main town, but it's a very short drive. Vaggelis had a cab driver's phone number if you don't want to deal with driving and finding parking. We absolutely loved our time staying here. Highly recommend it and if we ever go back to Kefalonia we will definitely stay there. A perfect find We got home 2 days ago & I already want to return! We stayed in villa 1 with friends who had never visited the island. They too want to go back. Our flight was delayed & when we arrived the welcome pack was very welcome….milk, bread, water etc. A very kind touch! Vaggelis is a perfect host! NOTHING is too much trouble. We met his mother Helen who with the cleaner ensured everything was spotless! George his dad came to cut the grass & again ensured we were all happy. The pool was clean & with hydrotherapy jets eased us wonderfully into a super relaxing stay. The location is PERFECT! Peaceful, on the flat, 20 mins drive from the airport, 5 mins walk to the famous lighthouse, across the road at the front to the beach, 5 mins walk to 2 taverna’s, 10mins drive to Lassi, 10 mins drive to Argostolli ( 30/40 flat walk) & a great place to relax and watch the cruise ships, ferries to Lixouri & the fishing boats. The air-conditioning throughout was welcome on the hotter nights & the super comfy bed with a variety of additional bedding needs ( cushions, blankets etc) ensured a good nights sleep. We would all definitely recommend the villa ( or both as they can access each other by a gate) if you wanted a spotlessly clean, super equipped, great location, great value for money stay with a great host on this magical island! Take me back now……..well we are definitely returning...
