Stepping in to their gallery, you can feel the attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship. The building, the pottery, the art, the jewelry…everything was beautifully executed. Their enormous talent as designers was recognized by better eyes than mine and as such had been selected to create Jacques Cousteau’s memorial plaque on display in the waters of Santorini. We had the pleasure of catching Alexander and Katharina in the space that day and I could have basked in their presence all afternoon. They took the time to share some of their world with us and we soaked it in. If you’re on Naxos, do yourself a favor and go by their shop. Surround yourself in beauty for a moment.

We stumbled upon this charming shop while exploring Halki on our Naxos holiday this summer. Fish & Olive is just one of those magical places where the most beautiful art and picturesque setting come together in perfect harmony! After admiring their creations, we had the chance to meet the delightful artists and see them at work. We selected a lovely vase adorned with blue fish and the gallery team did a great job of safely shipping it to Boston where it puts a smile on my face every morning when I see it! Absolutely worth a visit…

An absolute must see when visiting the small inland town of Halki. Katherina and Alexander’s collection of work is STUNNING. A beautiful representation of the Aegean Sea. I spoke with Alexander and Katherina when I was there and they gifted me a print that I will cherish forever. I would fill my home with all of their work if I could. Do not miss this lovely place if you visit Naxos.

Visiting the Fish & Olive Gallery in Halki village was one of the highlights of my trip to Naxos. The gallery is a beautiful space that showcases a breath-taking collection of ceramics and art, each piece echoing the essence of the island’s rich heritage and natural beauty.

What struck me most was the originality and craftsmanship of the ceramics. The designs are both timeless and modern, making each piece a unique work of art. The gallery exudes a calm, serene atmosphere that invites you to take your time exploring and appreciating the intricate details of the artwork.

Alex and his team have curated an exceptional collection that reflects a deep respect for Greek culture and nature. Their enthusiasm and knowledge about each piece made my visit even more enjoyable. They were incredibly welcoming, and their passion for what they do is evident in every aspect of the gallery.

I couldn’t leave without purchasing a stunning ceramic piece that now serves as a wonderful reminder of my time in Naxos. If you find yourself in Halki, I highly recommend stopping by the Fish & Olive Gallery—you’ll find something truly special...

I prefer to take the local bus from Chora up to the increasingly charming (lots of new interest and restoration) village of Halki/Chalki smack dab in the center of Cyclades's largest island, Naxos. Beyond small shops of local olive oil and handwork, the eye stops gobsmacked at windows into a gallery of vision in paint and form. Artists Alex and Katerina settled here to the delight of natives and travellers alike. Alex designs with fish and has a deep connection to the survival of clean thriving seas worldwide. Katerina uses the perfect form and function of the olive to express her work in clay. Nothing is made in quantity. Each piece has its own personality. Every time I visit Naxos, a visit to see what new creations are developing with Fish & Olive is top of the list. I'd give it 7...

Truly an amazing gallery (there is a separate shop to buy textiles and other items) of stunningly beautiful and unique ceramic and marble “pieces” as well as wall art. It’s totally unique and almost impossible to describe but a MUST visit if you’re nearby on Naxos.

These really are collectors pieces of unique truly stunning works of art not mass produced items.

This is a gallery not a shop. You may have to wait just a few moments to enter if it’s busy. This is to allow for quality of service so that each customer gets to view the items individually not over someone’s shoulder or backpack. I love this approach as it encourages a calm and refined experience.

The staff are incredibly kind, knowledgeable and absolutely delightful...
