Why the Name “Anthony Quinn”? • The beach is named after Anthony Quinn, who fell in love with the area while filming the movie The Guns of Navarone in 1961. • Local stories suggest that Quinn purchased land in the area, but legal disputes with the Greek government later arose.

📝 to consider.
Yes, as any nice beach will be crowded. Yes, for you to have that clean and blue cristal water in Europe requires to have rocks around and even to get into water. Yes, the way the places management around are not the best, but you should review that on the owner restaurant/bar review, not the natural free beach. Yes, there is free lounge side where there are some long light boards made of wood to place them even on sandy/rock side and then place your towel over (be smart, stop complaint because your stupid). Yes, it will be one of the best experience and swims you will ever have. Yes, if your looking for something exceptional you will find it here. Yes, is not everybody's taste because you are used with sand beaches so if your not into new things and understand what requires and the environment to make your stay the best avoid in the first place and stop moaning.
Is a must go if you have the brain and will to remove some of your exagerate comforts such as service 5 stars you expect to have on family business and local people that have to strive a corrupted political system and economic crisis, and expect to have the beach for your own.

This beach is heavily overrated, and the reality is far from the instagram perfect photos.
First off, the overcrowding is unbearable. parking - forget it after 10 am, public transport- does not exist. Sunbeds are packed tightly together, and you’re charged a steep 30€ for just two beds and an umbrella. What’s worse, there’s no guarantee of an umbrella.
The water was another major letdown. It was murky and filled with hazards. Jellyfish were a daily nuisance, with several people getting stung each day. Sea urchins are scattered across the seabed. The constant influx of boats coming dangerously close to shore only worsened the situation, polluting the water and adding to the overcrowded feel.
The facilities are shockingly inadequate. With just three toilets to serve hundreds of visitors, expect long lines and disgusting conditions. As for food, there’s only one spot to eat, and it comes with a waiting list that tests your patience.
Overall, Anthony Quinn Bay is severely overrated. It’s a tourist trap that’s all hype and no substance. If you’re looking for a relaxing beach day, I strongly recommend going elsewhere like Ladiko or Afandou. This place is simply not worth your...
