I cannot recommended Evita Resort to anyone except the most tolerant and budget minded. We were suckered into staying here by mostly false advertising. Stay away. A really shoddy budget hotel / tourist trap. Should be at the most two stars. In all our travels, this is the very worst "resort" I've been to. Rooms 2/5: rudimentary rooms, four walls and beds. Not even any towel hooks in the bathroom. No decorations and just a simple laminated board wardrobe without doors and a simple bench/table. Lighting is poor, there are only a few, yet too bright lamps. The showers have good pressure and temperature. Air conditioning is effective and reasonably silent. We all found the beds OK. Room wasn't cleaned when we arrived, there was trash on the floor, shower was leaking water on the bathroom floor. Breakfast 2-3/5: Breakfast is just barely OK, there are few and non-varying selections, nice with fresh fruit although that's expected. Juices are cheap and taste artificial, yet they are advertised as "Fresh!", which is clearly a lie. Some hot dishes, with the minimum of what you would expect. Coffee could definitely use an upgrade. The dining hall is basically bare concrete walls and ceiling, so very loud, could use some sound damping in the ceiling. Lunch 2-3/5: Lunch was decently assorted and well enough prepared. Everyone in our company found something to eat. The drinks (juice, wine, soda, water) with the exception of beer are all cheap and odd tasting. Needs better vegetarian options, salads and raw veggies doesn't count. Dinner <1/5: The food is so poorly prepared not even the least picky person could find it appetizing either by look, smell or taste. We didn't finish a single meal here, we left in disgust the first evening and had to take a taxi to Faliraki so that we could get human worthy sustenance. We subsequently had all dinners in restaurants in Faliraki, Kalithea and Rhodes city. WiFi 2/5: The WiFi is only OK in the rooms (700-block)and close to the reception, but spotty at best by the pools and restaurant and is generally unusable. It uses a mix of ten+ year old security standards or no security at all(!). Pools 2/5: Water slides only run intermittently. They were fun when running and appreciated by the kids. The pools are on the cool side, likely not warmed at all. There are gaping holes and broken well covers you can trip on and hurt your feet around all the pools. You can only get beach towels at certain times. The towels are thin and worn. Staff will not change them outside of fixed hours, even when they just sit idly and the towels are right next to them. There are too few sun beds, even though there is room, many are dirty, in poor condition or completely broken. No sun beds have cushions or pillows. The hotel staff tolerates people reserving chairs early in the morning. Cleaning, security and hygiene 2-3/5: There are pea fowls, cats and sometimes street dogs all over. There's plenty of hand sanitizer around. Cleaning of general areas needs more attention. No security staff at all, no gates or barriers to the area and outsiders can and do walk right in. Make sure you have eyes on your belongings and children at all times. Bars 2/5: Nice staff and good beer in the bar. Everything is served in flimsy and small plastic glasses, you have to run to the bars often when you only get 1,5 dl of beverage and for some reason one person can only order two glasses. The sodas have an odd taste. Wines taste ultra cheap and weren't really liked by anyone. Snack bar is nice, always something small, OK assortment around lunch time, mostly dry cakes and weird tasting ice cream the rest of the time. Fruit is available most of the time. Beer, wine and soft drinks are the only beverages on offer in the snack bar, for other stuff you will have to walk some distance to the main pool bar. Staff and service 3/5: Most everyone seems to speak decent English and were nice and courteous. I find it unlikely that they receive any training.

When we arrived at 1 am they told us they have no free rooms due to that some floor is out of order. But they give keys to other people. It seems there is double standard for people from the east and west of Europe. Germans could have stayed, Czechs, Slovaks and Poles had to leave even it was deep night. We were transported to the city of Rhodes for two days to hotel called Amphytrion. It wasn't that bad, it as in city center close to old town, so we had a trip for free there. We were promised compensation from the the hotel. Althought manager promised to speak to us directly, he avoided any contact and always run from the hotel when we arrived. Luckily our guide Lenka Šmídová from Blue Style travel agency saved the situation and forced him to pay us 100 € per room as a compensation. And how was the stay in Evita? DRINKS & coctails are terrible, made from cheap post mix. We drank only water. Alcohol is not that bad - unlimited beer was average quality, wine wasn't bad. Instead of real coctails I always ordered Ouzo which was really good and refreshing. FOOD was excellent! Wide variety of meat, fish, salads etc. They changed it everyday, so we never ate the same food. Breakfasts, lunches and dinners were just great. The snacks were dissapointing. There was a grill between breakfast and lunch, but we were not generally that hungry that time. ROOMS were fine. Furniture was new, clean. WARNING - there is big chance that between 6 pm - 9 pm there will no be water at all! So take shower BEFORE dinner! POOLs were fine .We used just the one with slides - that was fun, but just for a while. The sea is about 10-15 minutes of walk away. The closest Mandomata beach is nudist, but the regular beaches are just next to it. The sea is clean, but full of rocks just under the surface. I reccomend you to have water shoes. The deck chairs with beach umbrellas are for 10 eur (for 2 people). You can pay anywhere and it is for the full day on the whole coast (!). The city center is small, full of restaurants, clubs and bars. It is about 20-30 minutes by walk. Go there by the beach area - nice walk. From the hotel you can reach the Anthony Quinns beach. We recommend you go there on foot and return by taxi. The view from the up is really nice and you can't see it if you go there by a car. The alternative is boat. You can reach the beach if you go north from the hotel - go to the Observatory and then go right. You will see warning signs with pictures of snakes, scorpions and hornets. Don't be afraid, we haven't seen any of them. The restaurant owner on the beach is really kind and he will order taxi for you (cca 10 €). The beach itself is nice, but it is going to be deep quickly, a lot of rocks, boats etc. We used bus to Lindos. The closest bus stop is just near the Mandomata beach (that's also name of the stop). Check the time tables! They are not very accurate. The drivers are not used to use clock. So they go even 10 minutes earlier, so you can miss the bus even if you are on time... the driver sells the tickets, in Lindos are the tickets sold by operator. You have to wave on the bus from the stop really much. Some of the drivers seems to stop only to girls and ignore men (they just use horn and continue driving). As always - public transport in the "West" is worse than in Central Europe ;) The evening program in the hotel is still the same. Music for children, some game (as Bingo), some theatre - all made by amateurs. It is really focused on Polish people, if you are not Polish you will not enjoy it as much as they did. The hotel offers night ride to the most famous clubs in Faliraki every +-3 days per week. It is quite expensive. The whole island is inhabitated by giant purple hornets. According to the wikipedia they are really dangerous to human, but they are not annoying and don't pay attention to you or your food. In the end - we enjoyed the stay. :)

The Evita Resort Hotel. I shall start by saying the word disappointed. After the pictures online and the amazing reviews. Just simply disappointed. We arrived around 10pm. Reception seemed very disorganised, and the reception was very tatty. After looking around whilst waiting for our key, you start to notice how scruffy and dirty the walls are. The floors were not better either. So, not a great start visually. First off, the key didn’t work for our room. After trying 3 different keys, one of the maintenance men had to change the locks. Not really what you want to be experiencing straight away. Entering the room, it smelt clean, but as you looked around, it was dirty, again, walls scuffed and dirty, cobwebs, dust, bathroom was no better with mould, toilet seat that was on its last legs and the limescale build up on the metal frame of the shower, the shower also leaked, I think due to the sealant that had broken off. Nor the shower or hand basin tap were clean, with dirty water marks all over them. Just seemed like a half effort with cleaning. However, the beds were clean and were fairly comfy. Onto the air con, it worked yes, somewhat, but was extremely noisy and after a period of time of being on, started to not work correctly. The fan was awful and worked on hopes and dreams of pushing cold air over to the bed area. To say the least, we were extremely disappointed by the room, first impression were not great. Pool areas, now these were quite clean, pools were great, very cold and the water slides were fun. Sun beds do need upgrading however as funny as it was watching people collapse on them, it was of course not when it happened to yourself. Ups and downs of the restaurant. The restaurant it’s self, isn’t bad at all, just very warm and was sometimes hard to get a seat, cutlery and plates. But the staff were quick enough to sort this and bring more out. Or if you asked, you’d get them pretty quick also. The food was REALLY good, absolutely no complaints there, seasoned well, very tasty, not a lot of selection, but I personally would rather less of a selection and have more flavour. The staff, these were also very lovely people and couldn’t do more to help. The drinks they served, as any hotel abroad, were good and the alcohol measurements are done on how polite you are to them I think 😂. Overall, the hotel is ok. I wouldn’t come here expecting the best hotel in world, nor the best rooms, but it suited a getaway. Certainly not worth the £2k that it was priced as before the huge price discount. We certainly won’t be returning however as it’s just not for us. Please see the pictures of our room.

We came as a group of 7 & arrived at the hotel around 1pm, our rooms weren't ready which was to be expected as check in is 3pm, but we were told to come back at 2pm so we went into their restaurant for some lunch whilst we waited.|The lunch was average at best, a lot of the food was cold and not great flavour wise, but we were optimistic that the evening food would be better.|Come 2pm, we still couldn't get into our rooms & the lady at reception was quite rude, even though she'd told us to come back at that time, we had to wait around another hour, whilst other guests were coming in and being shown straight to their rooms. It wouldn't have been annoying to wait if they hadn't told us we could go in at 2.|When we finally got to the rooms, they were far away from the main hotel & were pretty disappointing. Every room has issues, mainly with the bathroom. Ours was particularly bad, dead mosquitos on the walls, dirty bed sheets and towels, no hand soap, broken towel rail on the balcony, no bath mat, mould in the bathroom etc. The worst part was that we only had half a shower door and no shower hook on the wall which made showering particularly difficult. |We reported these issues to reception that night. They were friendly and apologetic, and assured us the issues would be resolved first thing in the morning.|The next evening when we returned to the rooms, nothing had been done, not even replacement of the hand soap (we weren't given any during the entire stay). So we went back to reception and told the same thing again.|The next day we were told the same thing again, at this point it was getting pretty frustrating. We had 3 rooms in total, and the other 2 rooms had their shower doors replaced but they just took ours away, so we couldn't use the shower at all.|We came back from dinner one evening at about 9:30pm to find maintenance fixing the shower, which seemed like a very odd time of day to fix the issue.|It shouldn't take 3 days to fix an issue like this.|Reception had told us that they had overbooked and put us in rooms that hadn't been checked or used for 6 months, which explains the issues but is also completely unacceptable.| When we spoke to reception for a third time, they offered to pay for us to go on an excursion which we thought was a lovely gesture, however when we arrived to the transfer bus, it was overbooked at we had to get off, which left a sour taste in our mouths for obvious reasons.|The organiser did offer to pick us up an hour later to take us, so we waited about an hour and a half for him to return as he was a bit later than he said previously. We still had a fab evening in Rhodes Old Town though and would definitely recommend visiting there.|We'd booked another excursion through different company a few days later, much to the disgust of the hotels organiser, who made it very clear and made a lot of sarcastic comments to us about how he'd never be late and the other organisers had forgotten about us, which seemed pretty rich considering what had happened a couple of days before. It was a surprising flip of personality as he had been really friendly up until that point.|If you're wanting to spend your holiday relaxing on a sun lounger this probably isn't the hotel for you, there aren't enough to even half of the guests, with a lot of families having to sit on tables or lay on the floor near the pool.|As mentioned before, the food wasn't great either. Breakfast was below average, quite often the hot items were stone cold, even when they were fresh out. The dinners were equally as poor, although seemed to get a bit better on our last night.|One of the members of our party has a severe nut allergy, and there was no allergen information in the restaurant. When we asked at reception, she was told she'd have to check with the chefs at every meal time. They would often tell her things 'should be okay', which doesn't exactly fill you with confidence. There was barely anything she was able to eat, even with the items that 'should be fine'. This really isn't acceptable for any business dealing with food.|An exception was the Snack Bar, where we opted to have lunch most days as the food seemed more fresh and better prepared, the staff there were also super friendly.|Drinks weren't the best, very sweet and syrup based. |The bartender Mike was amazing though! So friendly and gave amazing service.|The best days we had were definitely when we left the hotel, would highly recommend getting the bus over to Lindos from Faliraki town, much cheaper than the transfer the...

We're staying here right now. Not happy at all. Paid in excess of £3000.00 for 2 weeks all inclusive. This is advertised through TUI to be a 4 star Hotel. We are well travelled and this doesn't even come close to 4 stars. 2 star maybe. The bathrooms needs a proper clean. It's not uninhabitable, but grouting needs a good clean and the walls need a good scrub. Rail under the shower door is FULL of mould. The shower is actually a hand shower and the fitting it fits into spins around and is hard to direct the water. The room is "budget". They've obviously tried to make an effort but it's all a bit tired. The photos online are not current and probably after the initial referb. Doesn't look like advertised online. The double bed is okay but squeaky and single bed is hard and squeaky. It does have aircon and an unusually large balcony. They could've used some of the balcony space to make the room a bit bigger or smarter. The TV is old/tired. Only 7 coat hangers in a family room sleeping 3. Bring your own hangers. The bath didn't even have a plug in. The basin plug doesn't match the bath plug. I went to reception to ask for a plug and was told "they'll sort it out". I was savvy enough to ask if it would be sorted out NOW. I was told that she will call someone to fix the problem. The "maintenance guy" just happened to be walking through the reception and there was an exchange of foreign words and the receptionist pull a new plug out her desk drawer 😳🙄😱. I was potentially going to wait a day or 2 to get what I got in 5 min. Breakfast was such a disappointment, especially after arriving at 11pm the night before and having no food at all on arrival, except for 3 squashed cling wrapped sandwiches the receptionist pulled them out of the draw in reception after we had to ask. (Ham and cheese....no butter). So obviously I would be looking forward a fantastic start to my holiday in the form of a proper breakfast. As I said the breakfast was disappointing.I only had salad for breakfast because nothing else was worth my 4 STAR meal. Scrambled eggs are terrible. Dried out sausages...leftovers from whenever...there is food but certainly NOT what I paid for. The staff seem friendly and are trying but the Greek culture is very different. Managers have arguments with staff in the "mess hall" in front of patrons...NOT ON! The "mess hall" for breakfast lunch and supper is in the same place. It is all very very very low budget. I feel like I am in hostel or school camp or military mess hall. The young guys working in there perv over girls. Fresh orange juice is cordial. Order a drink outside like Vodka and "Fresh" orange, they'll tell you yes very fesh orange but push a button on the handheld and you have cordial orange juice. I am highly disappointed!! Not enough umbrellas around the pool. We secured an umbrella on day one but a few hours later it fell over. The pole was so rotten it snapped off in the base. Luckily nobody got hurt. Animation is a shambles. Only staff put on the "show". They are trying. There is no certain vision. Day 2: Tonight I saw something that looked like it was supposed to be from The Titanic. Somebody throwing water onto the stage from a bucket, onto the cast. Afterwards they were sweeping the stage to get rid of all the water and one guy jumped onto a lilo and tried to look funny but took the feet out from one of the young ladies sweeping the stage down and it looked like she fell hard, but everyone laughed and he just pulled her up by one arm without checking for injuries! Day 4: Tonight the water in the shower ran out completely after I was foamed up and at supper they had no more forks for us to eat with 😱🙄 I wouldn't say £3000 totally wasted but not what I would expect for what we've paid. At a guess this should only have cost for the 3 of us £2000,00 at the very most. The beach not only 500yards away. More like 1.5 miles. I am very disappointed in TUI for selling me an all inclusive holiday in a place that is nowhere near worthy of the promises made. This review will also reflect on...

Definitly not a 4 star hotel. Rooms were adequate but let's be honest we don't spend much time in the room while on holiday.. The bathroom however was poor. The over bath shower sprayed everywhere leaving a soaked slippy tiled floor and we had to use our room towels to prevent us slipping. There was also a bad smell of sewage coming through into the bathroom which wasn't a very pleasant experience! The cleaners were nice and pleasant however and came every day. Our room ,445, didn't have a sea view or mountain view as stated in the hotel description. We looked out into a bit of baron waste land instead. The hotel mentioned a games room which we couldn't find but there was a pool table in reception if that counts... We also didn't find the ping pong and other activities mentioned. We took our two daughters aged 8 & 10 and the entertainment for this age group was pretty much non existent. There's a small cabin for toddlers which didn't look open for the first week we were there. All day time activities were aimed at adults except maybe for pool aerobics which the kids could join in with. The evening entertainment consisted if 30 minutes of kids songs followed by some very bad shows by the hotel staff which were maybe a bit much for young kids and not a bit funny for adults. We sat amazed at how poor it was... It's all done in jest and is a bit if fun but just wasn't entertaining. It was also crammed into a small corner of the resort and while people watched it was hard to get a seat to just have a drink without sitting on a sun bed the other side of the pool in the dark... The whole resort was kept clean which was nice and the pool was cleaned daily. The smaller pool with the 3 water slides was a great addition to the site which the kids and adults enjoyed. There is a life guard at this pool but he seemed to be there when he wanted to be leaving the area unattended quite a lot. The food was very average and some times struggled to find anything to our taste but each to their own regarding food I guess. What was offered was very repetitive and it felt like we've eaten the same things constantly.. The staff in the dining room were very helpful and friendly though which was great . There's a snack bar near the smaller pool which was sometimes better than the restaurant for lunch. The snacks throughout the day were a few dry biscuits and cake so don't expect much here apart from lunch time. The main lobby bar was never open and the the pool bar was awful. Very small flimsy plastic cups you would expect at a kids birthday party. The choice of alcoholic drinks was limited to local beer or a choice of cocktails from a list of 6. After they have filled the small plastic cup with ice the cocktail is very very small and not enjoyable. Kids can choose from soft drinks or alcohol free cocktails served in the same plastic cups. The hotel location is very quiet and out the way but surrounded by baron waste land, half built buildings and right next door was a boat scrap yard.... Falhuraki was about 15-20 minutes walk away with kids with a couple of local supermarkets on the way. The route to the beach and Falhuraki consists of stoney rubble roads and some areas without a footpath making it a bit worrying for people with younger kids... Ten minutes walk up the mountain is an astronomy cafe which was well worth the steep climb to visit. Here you can enjoy food, proper cocktails and view planets through the telescope. Great value for money for all the family. The nearest beach is a nudist beach if that's your thing! and round the corner is the normal beach which is quite stoney and hard underfoot but the sea is quite shallow and warm so great for kids. We also had to call reception 5 times due to there being no running water. We couldn't wash or flush the toilet. The power to the room failed twice leaving us in darkness and the air con unit also required maintenance to be called twice. At most this is a 3 star hotel that is nothing special. Shame really as it could be so much better with a bit of work...
