If Lord Byron were to take a trip to Greece nowadays, a visit to the Sala Pietra restaurant would be a must. Located above a small bay on Rhodes, it showcases Greek hospitality at its finest. With excitement, we entered the beautiful terrace of Sala Pietra on the first day of our journey. Among olive trees and delicious cocktails prepared by Antonius, a little love story unfolded.
The octopus tasted as if it were caught by Poseidon himself, and the desserts were a delight, as if Aphrodite herself had a hand in their creation. It became clear that this woman's love went through the stomach, as we discussed our dinner wishes during the day. On Sunday evening, the host Diamantis Sotirakis mesmerized the guests with singing and music, and we experienced the original Greece, not always present on the island.

The next morning, my partner and I came for breakfast. It started raining very hard and my partner was wearing flip flops and wound up slipping and cutting her shin. Not the restaurant's fault at all, but they were so sweet and instantly brought out all the medical equipment we could need to clean, disinfect, and dress the cut. They took our number and would check in on how my partner was doing. It was incredibly sweet and I've never felt like the restaurant genuinely cared for it's clients so much.
