Gavdos Cruises — Attraction in Region of Crete

Gavdos Cruises offers a day transfer to Gavdos for 40€. Tickets can only be purchased at the boat between 9 - 10 a.m. (cash only). Departure was punctually at 10.10 o'clock.

When we arrived in Gavdos-Karave, I asked the captain about the transfer to Tripiti (the southernmost point), which was advertised on the flyers. He looked at me as if he knew nothing about it and told me to walk (8 km each way).

Fortunately, when the boat arrives at the harbour, there is a bus waiting to take visitors to Korfos or other beaches. So I went to Korfos (2,5 € per trip) and from there I walked to Tripiti (3,9 km). Departure from Korfos back to the harbour was 16.15 o'clock. So good to do. At 17 o'clock the boat drove punctually back to Crete.

Attention: It is not controlled whether all passengers from the morning are back again on board. Therefore be punctual. Also monitor the Facebook status of Gavdos Cruises due to short-term changes.

Η μοναδική κακή εμπειρία από τις διακοπές στην Κρήτη τον Αύγουστο του 2020! τεράστια ταλαιπωρία, καμμία οργάνωση, καμμία ευγένεια!με κλεισμένες θέσεις για αυθημερόν επιστροφή (επαναλαμβάνω κλεισμένες)και διπλό-τριπλο τσεκαρισμενο ότι μας έχουν για το δρομολόγιο της επιστροφής προς έκπληξη μας μισή ώρα πριν την αναχώρηση προς Σφακιά διαπιστώσαμε ότι τα 200+άτομα που περίμεναν δεν γίνοταν να ταξιδέψουν! η έκπληξη ήταν ότι προτιμήθηκαν γνωστοί και φίλοι,οι περισσότεροι Κρητικοί να επιστρέψουν με αποτέλεσμα να χαθούν, αεροπορικά, ακτοπλοϊκά και ότι αναστάτωση μπορούσε να επιφέρει μια τουλάχιστον 4 ωρη καθυστέρηση για τους τουρίστες! Μετά από λογομαχίες και αστείες δικαιολογίες η χάρη που μας έκαναν ήταν να γυρίσουν να πάρουν και δεύτερο δρομολόγιο με την απειλή ότι θα μας αφήσουν εκεί αν συνεχίσουμε να διαμαρτυρόμαστε! τελικά το θαύμα έγινε και με μεγάλη καθυστέρηση είμασταν κατά τις 23:00 στα Σφακιά ευγνωμονες που επιτέλους επιστρέψαμε και μπορέσαμε να μείνουμε άλλο ένα βράδυ Κρήτη, πληρώσαμε άλλη μια μέρα για το αυτοκίνητο, αλλάξαμε εισητηρια για να επιστρέψουμε! Συγγνώμη δεν...

Only cash accepted. No well organized and if you do daily trip be sure that the captain can get you back to Sfakia as he gives priority to touristic agencies. We had a very bad experience to wait the boat with 3 hours delay as we didn’t fit our scheduled cruise. The captain was emotional snd he had conflict with customers, very bad quality...
