If there is a dessert&coffee place you have to visit at Crete this one would be one and only on the list :))) it was loooong time since I have eaten so delicious cake and have had a guarantee that it’s homemade. Place ran by mother (baker) and her son (who gives obvious vibes of khal from Game of Thrones😅). Had a feeling that those two spread contrary energies but somehow being complementary what makes this place so cosy, quaint and exciting. It’s worth to plan your meals during the day of the visit here:D take some other cakes to takeaway because they all are worth it!!!

A highly recommended café by locals. Visited this place for some coffee and to taste the sweets, as it had been suggested by some local friends. All sweets are homemade, carefully prepared, great portions and very-very tasty. As a chocolate lover, I highly recommend the 'mosaic' and the Nutella and Caprice sweet. Both were absolutely fantastic. Great place to relax and enjoy the sea view.

2nd update : back for 3rd n last time before we leave the island to try other cakes!!Update : came back to try their yoghurt cake. Delicious. Best spanakopita in this area. You can tell from the bottom layer that it is handmade and not from premade fillo dough. Good filling and crust. We will definitely come back to try their cakes.

The best cakes I have had at a Cafe for years! I come from a family with a patisserie chef so I have a great appreciation for such good quality products. They are so fresh, and every day there is a huge variety. Just perfectly clean flavors, woooonderful textures! As a person with great appetite I am rarely in the position to struggle to eat an big piece of cake but, I did have to put in an effort here, because these servings are spectacular generous. I LOVE It! My boyfriend who is not very fond of cakes in general did actually enjoy all of the cakes we tried so far,so he did help me eat my pieces. One more thing that I must mention is the people go run it are very nice. Especially the woman who I suspect makes the cakes, she is an absolute treasure. She had such warmth and was simply so kind and caring, and not least when she found out I was 4,5 months pregnant, she was so enthusiastic and had asked how baby and I are doing every time we are there and really takes her time. She is so joyful, sweet and genuine, and I certainly do not mind a little pat on the stomach or pat on the head because she is really a people person that knows how to approach with gestures like that considerately and well timed. Now coming there many times this week both I and my boyfriend can see she is very kind to everyone and certainly people enjoy her company very much. We sit there with cake and coffee (yes lively decafs as well) enjoying talking over a game of backgammon, sea view and the ambience of people just enjoying their time there. All in all, biggest recommendations from us, treat yourselves to cake and coffee at...

We decided to visit this seaside establishment choosing a spot that was well-lit and centred with a good sea-view. But oh, how this did not sit well with the owner, who apparently thought we were auditioning for a role in "How to Ruin Your Customer's Day."

Upon sitting, we were immediately scolded for daring to use a table that was not “ready from the previous guests”. I chose to ignore this gem of hospitality, but my wife, in her quest for something edible, found their menu lacking in the department of 'things she fancied.' So, we stood up, ready to take our business elsewhere.

Now, here's the kicker: we hadn't even ordered yet. The only thing that had happened at our table was it being cleaned from the previous guests, which was probably the highlight of their day.

As we left, in a gesture of pure courtesy, I moved a chair back for my 2-year-old, only to be greeted with the parting shot, "You came only to mess us up and now you are leaving."

This sparked a heated exchange that could have turned into a full-blown “episode”.

Our night in Sfakia? Ruined.

So, if you're into sweets served with a side of sass and a sprinkle of hostility, this place is your dream come true. But if you value a pleasant dining experience, steer clear.

Trust me, no sweet is sweet enough to wash away the bitter taste of such service and if anything Crete is all (or should be all) about being courteous no matter the circumstances and no matter how tired you may be from the...

This cafe is one of the most beautiful cafes I have ever been all my life , the location is amazing , the owner is a Cretan man who is very hospitable , the prices are so affordable , the coffees are so nice , they are so famous for their sweets and desserts and it’s a loss not to go there and try at least one or 2 of their nicely made sweets .

The location is in the heart of hora sfakion direct on the sea , you sit while enjoying the sea breeze and the coldness of the coffee makes you feel fresh while enjoying the sweetness of their delicious desserts ...

I have been there twice , and I will always come back whenever I visit...
