We had only one hour to sit there and have a good dinner but waiter said that's not a problem. He directed us to dirty table left after previous customers. My wife had ordered a cappuccino ( which was main reason why we stopped by this restaurant) but it appeared that coffee machine got broken and she got orange juice instead, which appeared great. We ordered garlic bread, chicken souvlaki and lamb with artichokes. After 40 minutes od waiting and irritation we finally got our food. We had about 15 min to eat our meals - no fun at all. Souvlaki appeared to be just usual dry small seasoned pieces of chicken on the stick with French fries - nothing great. And lamb with artichokes were just bones with small pieces of chewy meat (tendons) stuck to them. Do not order this meal !! If I have had tiger's teeth I could have crunched those bones and swallow them with a smile od Mona Lisa on my face. I must admit that garlic bread was really good but it is not a rocket science to make it well. Artichokes were quite good and sauce was great. Before we left and paid, waiter brought us some dessert for free, but we had no really disposition and time to eat it, after all. I noticed that a waiter's way of serving was a bit too fraternising (touching people , smiling, and joking without clear reason) which was his way (I guess) to show his devotion to customers and his work, but for me such way of waitering is a bit unproffesional. It was our last dinner on wonderful island of Crete and this last dinner left a scratch on a beautiful picture we have in...
Read moreBad Luck. We ordered greek farmer's salad, tsatsiki, squid, fried zucchini and were in the middle of the meal when wind came up. The son of the house pulled up the awning. A glass lamp broke and the pieces fell on the clothes, the table and the food. An apology was not heard. We explained that we had to return the rest of the food because of the glass splinters. After a quick glance at the table, the son of the house declared the splinters to be sea salt. From this explanation he could not be dissuaded. Finally, I discovered a glass fragment several centimeters long in Tsatsiki and showed it. Thereupon the bill was first reduced by 2 € to 35 € and after a long discussion with the unfriendly family - I exempt the mother - finally reduced to 30 €. What do I expect? Well, a clear apology and friendly customer...

We chose this because of the TripAdvisor reviews, although the 3 Brothers had a better rating, we had been in for a drink there, and decided Nikos would be the better option for us.
A great choice. The service we were given felt very personal and friendly. However, the welcome was the same for everyone who ate there.
Nothing was too much trouble for Nikos son (never did catch his name, sorry).
The food was also really nice and tasty. With decent portions too.
The Greek Salad was gorgeous and the garlic bread so soft, yet crispy all at the same time. Wonderful.
Ate there every night of our stay, and the welcome never waned, only got better.
Thank you!!! Sorry, was always too eager to eat, forgot to take good pics. But here is one of a hopeful ...
