"Stepping into the world of Metta Buddharam Temple in Bodhgaya is like embarking on a journey through architectural marvels and serene beauty. This Thai temple sets itself apart with its modern design, unlike any other nearby Buddha temples or monasteries. As you approach, you can't help but be captivated by its unique aesthetics.

The temple's exterior gleams with stainless steel, creating an enchanting play of reflections. Mirrors and white sculptures adorn the structure, adding to its charm. A tranquil water pond and a resonant bell enhance the spiritual ambiance. It's like a slice of Thailand right in the heart of Bodhgaya.

When night falls, the temple transforms into a mesmerizing spectacle. Illuminated by soft, ethereal lights, it casts a spellbinding aura. In the daylight, the temple glistens with pristine white, reflecting a sense of purity and serenity. Thai traditional architectural elements grace every corner, and a variety of materials have been artfully employed in its construction.

The extensive use of mirror pieces for decoration adds an enchanting touch. Inside, the main temple floor is crafted from wood, and beneath it lies a marble-floored meditation room—a perfect haven for contemplation.

What truly sets Metta Buddharam Temple apart is its dedication to distinctive aesthetics. Unlike many temples in Bodhgaya, this one opts for a serene white color theme instead of the traditional gold. Even a life-sized statue of King Ashoka graces the temple, adding a historical touch.

Remember that the temple is open every day except Sunday and Wednesday. It opens its gates at 8 am, so plan your visit accordingly. If you're seeking an exquisite blend of modern aesthetics and traditional spirituality, this temple is a must-visit. Its impeccable maintenance and unique design promise a truly memorable experience. Discover the allure of Metta Buddharam Temple and immerse yourself in its serene ambiance—it's an enchanting addition to Bodhgaya's rich tapestry of spiritual...

The Metta Buddharam Temple in Gaya, Bihar, stands as a relatively new yet captivating addition to the sacred landscape of Bodh Gaya. Unlike the ancient Mahabodhi Temple with its profound historical roots, Metta Buddharam distinguishes itself with a striking modern architectural style, featuring an outer shell of stainless steel and intricate mosaic mirror work that shimmers in the sunlight. This unique design gives it a distinctly contemporary feel, setting it apart from many traditional Buddhist temples in the region. Upon entering, visitors are often struck by the serene and impeccably maintained surroundings. The temple offers a tranquil atmosphere, ideal for meditation and contemplation, a much-needed respite in the often bustling pilgrimage town. The main temple floor, crafted from wood, leads to a marble-floored meditation room beneath, providing a cool and peaceful environment for devotees. The interior is adorned with numerous handmade sculptures, crafted from a mixture of white cement, clay, and epoxy, adding to its artistic appeal. While it may not possess the ancient mystique of other Bodh Gaya sites, Metta Buddharam is a testament to modern Buddhist architectural principles and serves as a vital center for practice and study. It offers a space for both local and international followers to connect with their faith, engage in meditation, and learn about Buddhist teachings. The temple is particularly mesmerizing when beautifully lit at night, creating a truly unforgettable spectacle. Although some areas might have restricted access or be under construction, the overall experience of peace, unique architecture, and spiritual solace makes Metta Buddharam Temple a highly recommended visit for anyone...

Metta Buddharam Temple in Bodhgaya is a peaceful and serene place that offers visitors a chance to reflect and experience Buddhist spirituality. Located near the famous Mahabodhi Temple, the temple provides a tranquil atmosphere perfect for meditation, prayer, and quiet contemplation. The temple is beautifully constructed, with traditional Buddhist architecture, featuring intricate carvings, peaceful statues, and vibrant colors that create a harmonious environment.

The temple's peaceful surroundings make it an ideal place for those seeking solace or spiritual rejuvenation. The temple is not as crowded as the more famous Mahabodhi Temple, which makes it a great spot for those wanting a more intimate, calm experience. The monks and staff here are friendly and welcoming, always ready to guide visitors in their spiritual journey or provide information about the temple’s history and significance.

Cleanliness is well-maintained throughout the temple, and the atmosphere is calm and respectful. The grounds are well-kept, with manicured gardens and peaceful walkways, allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in the temple's spiritual ambiance.

Overall, Metta Buddharam Temple is a hidden gem in Bodhgaya, offering a peaceful retreat for visitors seeking spirituality and reflection. It’s a must-visit for anyone exploring the religious and cultural heart of Bodhgaya.

A beautiful Buddhist Temple away from the cluster of other temples and monasteries. The statue outside is amazing. When we visited some construction work was going on and hence we could enter the main complex. But even the premises are so peaceful. Just pray to Lord Buddha that when you go there is a breeze blowing. The wind chimes and bells hanging all around the premises give out such a lovely chime that it adds to the aura of the place. Though of recent origin, the Metta Buddharam temple is a marvellous eice of art and a treat to the eyes. I am sure anyone would be instantly fascinated by the sheer beauty and elegance of the place. Our first encounter with the place was when we passed by the night of our arrival at Bodhgaya. It was past 8PM and the lights were too good a sight to behold! The next morning, we went with high expectationsonly to find the place closed - Sun and Wed are holidays here - so plan accordingly. Though one could see the Buddha from a distance, experiencing it from close quarters is a whole new experience for sure. A must visit place.
