ISKCON followers form the largest branch of Gaudiya Vaishnavism. Bhaktivedanta Swami took this tradition to the Western world and spread it through his write-ups and translations of Hindu Holy Scriptures like the Srimad Bhagavatam, Bhagavad Gita, and Chaitanya Charitamrita among others. Gives inner peace ☮️ in this loudful world by Srila Prabhupad to systematically propogate spiritual knowledge to society at large and to educate all peoples in the techniques of spiritual life in order to check the imbalance of values in life and to achieve real unity and peace in the world.

While exploring the Iskcon Temple near me, brace yourself to enter into a world belonging to Shri Krishna’s stories, childhood, devotion, and much more!

The Chandigarh tourism map is well embedded with the presence of the Iskcon Temple on it. Located in the heart of Chandigarh that is Sector 36, the breeze of Iskcon Temple is something out of this world. Especially, when it comes to the Iskcon Chandigarh rath yatra. If provided with an opportunity, don’t miss out on this yatra. A perfect blend of bhakti and devotion, the feeling of this yatra is surreal.

It is believed that the International Society of Krishna Consciousness or ISKCON had started under the Hare Krishna Movement. This movement was first started in America. Gradually, the list of the enlisted volunteers grew and is a big family now. With over 600 temples in number worldwide, there are over 40 rural communities as well as approximately 100 vegetarian restaurants. The chain of the temple was founded by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.

Be it Iskcon Janmashtami or Radhashtami, these things are something beyond the definition of words. The aura and vibe, as well as, the zeal of celebrations are much more...

Visited ISKON Chandigarh the other day along with my family and found it to be a disgusting place filled with crass commercialism. It was my first visit ever to an ISKON temple and most certainly the last one. The temple doesn't look or feel like a place of worship at all for there is sheer lack of spiritualism, peace and cleanliness.

I felt complete absence of selfless devotion, dedication among the ISKON workers and priests in the temple. None of them was interested in praying or serving Lord Krishna. They clearly were a deeply motivated, trained and highly commercial lot, keen only to make devotees give donations under one pretext or another. We were repeatedly and persistently pestered by them to purchase religious material and ISKON books.

It was nauseating and shocking to see the temple staff and priests literally loitering around in the main temple prayer hall and shamelessly nagging devotees to buy religious books etc from them. What kind of peace and meditation are possible in such a commercially charged atmosphere one wonders. Dirty footwear and other paraphernalia of the ISKON staff waere littered around inside the temple area. There was nobody to distribute "prasad" for each of the ISKON workers was apparently on his or her assigned duty to make money. The "prasad" itself was threateningly yuck, stale and terrible. Hence had to discard it immediately due to health and hygiene reasons.

The extremely greedy shopkeeper manning the religious stuff shop inside the ISKON temple area deserves a special mention. Unscrupulous and extremely greedy salesmen like him are usually found in Delhi's Palika Bazar or Chor Bazar and not in a holy place…but then ISKON temple we visited didn't look like a religious place by any stretch of...

Nestled in the heart of Chandigarh, the Iskcon Temple is a serene haven that radiates spirituality and tranquility. From the moment I stepped foot into this divine oasis, I was captivated by its majestic architecture and the aura of devotion that enveloped the premises. The temple, dedicated to Lord Krishna, is a sight to behold. Its intricate design, adorned with vibrant colors and intricate carvings, is a testament to the exquisite craftsmanship. As I entered the temple, the sound of devotional chants filled the air, creating an atmosphere of pure serenity and reverence. The temple complex is meticulously maintained, with well-manicured gardens and peaceful walkways that invite visitors to explore and reflect. The lush greenery and beautiful flowers add to the overall charm and provide a sense of harmony with nature. Inside the temple, the main sanctum is adorned with breathtakingly beautiful idols of Lord Krishna and Radha. The melodious chanting and soul-stirring prayers create an ambiance that touches the heart and transports you to a realm of spiritual bliss. The devotees' unwavering faith and devotion are truly inspiring, and witnessing their devotion during the evening aarti (ritual) is a deeply moving experience. In conclusion, the Iskcon Temple in Chandigarh is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking solace, spiritual enlightenment, and a connection with the divine. Its serene ambiance, magnificent architecture, and devotional atmosphere create an unforgettable experience. Whether you are a devotee or a curious traveler, a visit to this temple will leave you feeling refreshed, inspired, and spiritually uplifted.

Hare Krishna Dham (ISKCON Chandigarh) is set upon three acres of prime land. A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, founder of ISKCON, inspired the construction of a temple of Lord Krishna and Vedic Cultural Centre in Chandigarh. This temple was constructed with a mission to spread the mission of Srila Prabhupada of carrying the message of Bhagavad-gita and Srimad Bhagavatam to Western world. There are four simple practices in Krishna consciousness. 1. Reading (Shravanarn) 2. Chanting (Kirtanam) 3. Friendship (Sat-sangam) 4. Remembering (Smaranam) You can visit here and can take blessings of the lord. Room facilityis also available for devotes who are from other cities. You can call the temple number directly and can make your reservation. There's a library and a seminar hall as well. There's a Daily Worship & Darshan Schedule as well which stretches between 4:30am-8:30pm. There are lots of activities performed between the schedule like Aarti, Meditation, Kirtan, Bhog & Parikarma etc. Apart from it the temple helds so many other activities auch as Competitions and Kirtans by Kids etc. The detailed event schedule can be found on their official site listed here.
