Good things: Staff is courteous and setup is nice, bright cafe setup more like a dinner. Why three star? I asked for tap water and bottled water was offered saying that serving tap filtered water is not permitted as it may carry infarction!! I am pretty sure they can't cook the food in dinner with bottled water and anyway it is a law. Restaurants can't deny water or restroom services even without billing. Nevertheless it isn't about spending a few bucks for bottled water it was about intention of the restaurant to earn something. And of course I was served hot water! Alright enough about water thing... I Ordered best thing in main course (money wise). Which I thought was a chicken stake or chicken barest with mashed potato but it was actually like a sausage which was nicely cut and was served with a sauce. My host couldn't explain the dish while ordering and I too find it more like a processed food and that is not a top liking. I enjoyed cup cake, it was delicious. You may visit for a coffee and something...
Read moreBefore going to this cafe, I read a lot of mixed reviews. Some people absolutely loved it, some not so much. First of all, it's pretty. It's spacious and the color palette of the cafe is really vibrant. You would want to click a lot of pictures if you are into clicking pictures. Secondly, the food. Honestly, I am not a fan of the food. I ordered a foot long pizza and it gave me some kind of ick. I won't say it was bad but I would not try it again. Maybe it was not to my taste. I ordered caramel dalgona coffee but they told me that it was not available. So i ordered a classic cold coffee. It was average, nothing special. I so wanted to order a dessert but there were limited eggless dessert options, so I didn't. Third, the price. Yes, it is expensive. Although the prices of desserts were fine but for other dishes, it is expensive. Finally, it is possible that I didn't order right. Maybe something else is really delicious here but for me it's not a place that I would want to visit again. But...
Read moreThis is one place that I highly recommend, always. People ask me one must visit place in Chandigarh and I say Crown Patisserie. This is because there is something great about this place. First, I like that there is a fancy café in Sector 17. Then the interiors are so cool and I so love the vibe of this café completely. Coming to the food, there probably isn’t a single thing on the vegetarian menu that I haven’t tried. I have come to love their Cheese and mushroom rolls, the mushroom bruschetta and the lettuce wraps. All their drinks are good too but I go there for the food. The desserts are next level altogether. The caramel custard is all time favorite along with all the cakes. I am yet to order a bespoke cake from here but I love their cakes, pastries, tarts and macaroons. Their rainbow cake is a class apart. Love this...
