I recently had the pleasure of visiting PVR Oberon Mall, and I must say it was an exceptional cinematic experience from start to finish. The combination of state-of-the-art facilities, comfortable seating, and a vast range of film options made my visit truly memorable.

Honestly, I don’t even know where to begin with this disaster of an experience at PVR Lulu Kochi. I genuinely thought I was paying for a premium movie-going experience — because hello, 4DX isn’t exactly pocket change, we literally spent thousands — but what we got was worse than some run-down single-screen theater from the 90s.

First off, the service. I have never in my life seen staff so utterly uninterested, rude, and borderline hostile toward paying customers. Like excuse me, is it my fault you hate your job? Because the audacity with which they treated us was beyond unacceptable. I’m not even asking for red-carpet treatment here (though, considering the prices, maybe I should), but basic courtesy shouldn’t be too much to expect, right? Apparently, at PVR Lulu Kochi, even eye contact and a polite response are considered optional luxuries.

Second, the air conditioning. Or should I say… the barely functioning, wheezing excuse of a cooling system? We were sweating inside a theater that was supposed to be “state-of-the-art.” If I wanted to sit in a sauna while watching a movie, I would’ve gone to a spa.

Now let’s talk about the 4DX experience. Horrible doesn’t even begin to cover it. The seats jerking around felt less like immersive effects and more like punishment for daring to book tickets. The syncing was completely off — the effects had no rhythm with the scenes, and honestly, I felt like I was riding a badly maintained carnival ride instead of watching a movie. How is this the “future of cinema” when it feels more like a scam?

And the picture and sound quality? Appalling. Grainy visuals, uneven sound — at times it felt like the speakers were on life support. I swear I’ve seen better quality on my phone at home. Imagine paying thousands for something that doesn’t even match a basic Netflix setup.

Overall, this was a complete waste of money, time, and patience. If PVR thinks this is acceptable “premium” service, then they seriously need a wake-up call. Because at this point, it feels like they’re just looting customers while giving us the bare minimum.

Stuffy inside as well as in waiting area. Air conditioning kept at really warm temperature. RIDICULOUS. UNABLE TO WATCH A MOVIE. Recliners 11,12,13. Audi one. ONE RECLINER SEAT STUCK. SWITCHES NOT WORKING! APPALING. ARE THEY LOOTING MONEY?, I WONDER?!??. They don't have any logic. I mean the coffee shop on right hand side. Plastinated coffee paper cups cause cancer ( Endocrine Disruptive chemicals ). I am a Senior Medical Specialist. I know this. I telephoned pvr headquarters prior to leaving for Lu lu mall Kochi and asked them whether I can take my stainless steel coffee mugs inside the Pvr facility here in pvr cinemas Lulu is.Kochi. They seemed to be sensible. They understood. Now the hilarious incident. I bought latte and they got it poured into my mug. Same with chocolate shake for my 9 yr old. They didn't say anything. Nke. They refused. Then kept me wow the ridiculous incident. In middle of the movie I again went there for another latte and chocolate shake. They refused to serve. Kept me waiting for 5 minutes. I lost 5 to 15 minutes of movie time. Managercame in like James Bond. He acted as if he were giving me coffee for free, and treated me like a beggar perhaps because I wore a Kerala mundu. I explained to him Took him a long time to understand. He was such a bully. Ridiculous service. I have been a Government Doctor in England and Australia for ten years. Funny man this Pvr coffee shopmanager at Lulu Kochi. Movie was Tiger 3 Audi one Recliners. 1240 show.MOST RECENTLY, I BOOKED TICKETS IN MOST EXPENSIVE AREA OF PVR FOUR SEATS FOR MAIDAN. BOOKED 5 DAYS PRIOR TO SUNDAY. ON DAY OF SHOW, THE TIME OF SHOW WAS 320 OR SO, AT 1130 AM PVR SENDS TEXT: YOUR SHOW HAS BEEN CANCELLED. SO RUDE. JUST TWO DAYS PRIOR IT WAS ON NEWSPAPER THAT MALAYALAM MOVIE PEOPLE HAD ASKED PVR TO ENHANCE MALAYALAM MOVIE SHOW TIMINGS. SO RUDE.
