I visited your establishment, Al Taza, located opposite Lulu Mall in Ernakulam on 13th February 2024, at approximately 3:30 p.m. and was appalled by the abysmal customer service I encountered. Upon arrival in my scooter, I adhered to the instructions given by your front-end staff near the petrol pump and made my way to the designated customer seating area situated behind the petrol pump.
However, my attempt to park my scooter in an unobtrusive manner (there was plenty of space to park many cars there, especially it being a non rush hour on a working day) was met with an unacceptable confrontation by one of your employees, Alfaz—or so he claimed. Despite having captured his photo as evidence, I choose not to post it here out of respect for his privacy. His approach was loud, rude, and utterly disgraceful. I was instructed to relocate my scooter 100 meters away, despite following the directions provided by your staff to the seating area.
As a longstanding patron of Al Taza, cherished for its culinary offerings, this incident has left a sour taste in my mouth. The disrespect shown by your employee was not only shocking but has significantly marred my perception of your restaurant, compelling me to reconsider my patronage.
It is evident that your establishment is in dire need of a comprehensive overhaul in staff training, particularly in customer service etiquette. The behavior exhibited was far from acceptable; addressing customer concerns with such hostility is reprehensible.
I urge you to take this feedback seriously and implement necessary changes to rectify the glaring deficiencies in customer interaction. Failure to do so will not only tarnish your reputation but also deter loyal customers...
Read moreEdit:- i really disappointed during my last visit. We have ordered normal chicken shawarma and beef shawarma first of all they reduced quality and increased price for their shawarma rolls. Now I feel it doesn't worth for the money. And the taste wise it was not good was getting salty taste in chicken shawarma and the romali rotti they use now become very hard. It was very soft earlier. Overall alataza lost its old taste.
The waiting period once order the shawarma was too much compared to their kaloor outlet. Staffs behavior towards customers are good.
I always prefer to go altaza kaloor shop. This time i tried edapally branch. I feel edapally branch is spacious compared to kaloor however I like the ambience at their kaloor branch. Edappally it's located inside the Indian oil petrol bunk so o don't feel comfortable having food over there. And the staffs behavior I feel the kaloor branch is better they are very active and always approach customers with happy face. When talking about their food it's good i personally felt altaza chicken Shawarma is better than beef shawarma since it was hard chicken was soft. Tried their mojito as well it's just an average mojito nothing outstanding. I tried fries and it's good worth for 60 rs. I recommend their normal chicken shawarma over full meet or special.
Being a regular customer I can feel the Overall The quantity of their normal chicken shawarma is reduced gradually. You guys have good popularity among kochinites if you look for the more profit by reducing the quantity there might be a chance to downgrade the popularity and look for another option. Because each n every day we are getting new...

Today, [11/04/24], my family and I visited Restaurant for a casual dinner. Unfortunately, our experience was far from enjoyable.
Upon arrival, we were informed of a wait time despite several vacant tables. After some time, we were offered a shared table, which we accepted. However, no server approached us for at least 10 minutes. After requesting service, it took another 25 minutes to receive a single plate and a single roll.
We then ordered a lime drink, but after waiting another 10 minutes with no sign of it, we decided to cancel and request the bill. Here's where things went downhill.
At the counter, the staff member who initially greeted us became confrontational. He loudly questioned the "what delay" in front of other patrons and my family. To avoid escalating the situation, I simply suggested reviewing the camera footage to verify the wait times. We then left without further conversation.
While I understand restaurants can get busy, the lack of communication and the staff member's aggressive behavior were unacceptable. Service industry staff should be trained in basic courtesy and conflict resolution. It's important for customers to feel welcome and respected, not like "beggars."
Overall, this experience left us feeling frustrated and disrespected. Unfortunately, we cannot...
