In North America, Pizza Hut has notably sold: pan pizza, baked in a pan with a crispy edge; stuffed crust pizza, with the outermost edge wrapped around a cylinder of mozzarella cheese; "hand-tossed", more like traditional pizzeria crusts; “Thin 'N Crispy”, a thin, crisp dough which was Pizza Hut's original style; Dippin' Strips pizza, a pizza cut into small strips that can be dipped into a number of sauces; the P’Zone, a calzone with a marinara dipping sauce that comes in plain, Supremo, Meaty, and pepperoni, and its largest product, the Bigfoot pizza.
The stuffed-crust pizza was introduced on March 26, 1995. By the end of the year, it had become one of their most popular lines.35]
Regional differences are seen in the products and bases.[36] The company has localized to Southeast Asia with a baked rice dish called Curry Zazzle.[37
On May 9, 2008, Pizza Hut created "The Natural" pizza, which featured natural ingredients and was sold in Seattle, Denver and Dallas. This was discontinued on October 27, 2009, in the Dallas market.39]
Pizza Hut developed a pizza for use as space food, which was delivered to the International Space Station in 2001.[40] It was vacuum-sealed and about 6 in (15 cm) in diameter to fit in the station's oven.[40] It was launched on a Soyuz and eaten by Yuri Usachov in orbit.[41]
In recent years, the chain has seen a downturn in profits. In 2015, the franchise stated it would be pumping more capital into its London branches. Pizza Hut is installing cocktail bars in its London branches as part of a £60 million bid to win back "the Nando's generation".[42]
In January 2019, Pizza Hut announced it had expanded beer delivery to 300 locations across the U.S., with plans to expand to 1,000 locations by the summer.[43]
In March 2019, Pizza Hut announced the return of the P'Zone after a hiatus of several years.[44]
In March 2020, Pizza Hut Hong Kong announced that it had partnered with furniture retailer IKEA on a joint venture. IKEA launched a new side table called SÄVA, which was designed to resemble a pizza saver. The table would be boxed in packaging resembling a pizza box, and the building instructions included a suggestion to order a Swedish meatball pizza from Pizza Hut, which would contain the same meatballs served in IKEA restaurants.[45 A 2021 menu addition, designed to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the introduction of stuffed-crust-pizza, was "nothing but the stuffed crust," a ring of dough filled...
Read moreLet me share my recent experience at the Pizza Hut branch located in Lulu Mall on July 20, 2024, which has left me utterly dismayed and dissatisfied. The service provided by the staff members at this particular establishment was nothing short of pathetic, that made to must convey my profound disappointment through this review.
From the moment I entered the premises, it was evident that the staff's attitude was severely lacking in professionalism, warmth, and basic courtesy. Their demeanor was unwelcoming, unfriendly, and far from the warm and approachable demeanor one would expect from a renowned franchise like Pizza Hut. The complete disregard for customer satisfaction was palpable, and it is truly disheartening to see such a lack of regard for patrons' experience.
As someone who values good customer service, I found the treatment I received at Pizza Hut Lulu Mall to be not only disappointing but also unacceptable. The dismissive and indifferent behavior exhibited by the staff tarnished what should have been a pleasant dining experience. It is a shame that a well-established brand like Pizza Hut allows such subpar service to be representative of its name.
In light of this experience, I will actively discourage friends, family, and acquaintances from patronizing this particular branch. It is imperative that Pizza Hut takes immediate and decisive action to address the glaring issues with its customer service at this location before further damage is done to its reputation.
I sincerely hope that this review serves as a wake-up call for Pizza Hut Lulu Mall to reevaluate its customer service standards and make the necessary improvements to ensure that all patrons are treated with the respect and courtesy they...
Read moreThis was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. First, the food took an unreasonably long time to arrive. We expected some delay, but this was beyond acceptable. The worst part? The staff took our mobile phones without our consent and gave themselves a 5-star rating on our behalf. This is a serious violation of our right to privacy under Article 21 of the Constitution. It’s completely unethical and unacceptable for any business to do this.
On top of that, we were not informed beforehand that all large pizzas would be thin crust. If we had known, we would have reconsidered our order. The pizzas themselves were not filling at all—even for someone who finds a crispy chicken burger from Burger King satisfying, these large pizzas were simply too light. For the price we paid, we expected much better portion sizes and quality.
The service was another huge disappointment. The response time for service was painfully slow. Even basic requests, like getting water or additional condiments, took forever. The staff did not seem attentive or willing to address our concerns.
Overall, this was a frustrating and disappointing experience. Poor service, unethical practices, misleading menu information, and underwhelming food made this visit a complete waste of time and money. I would not recommend this place to anyone. There are far better pizza options in Kochi where you’ll be treated with respect and actually get what...
