Visited the exposition of St. Francis Xavier during the week. There wasn't a big queue, and we were out in 10 to 15 minutes. Everything was systematic. No entry tickets . Anyone n everyone can visit . The streets were clean surrounding the church with dustbins everywhere. A lot of tea stalls n snacks and other gift souvenirs. Free parking space was vast, and everyone followed the parking rules. There were electric buggy available for the old ,sick and physically challenged. Also many many volunteers were there to assist the devotees, seniors, and those in need of wheelchairs.

Brief About: The body of Francis Xavier was first taken to Portuguese Malacca and two years later shipped back to Goa. It is said that the saint's body was as fresh as the day it was buried. The remains of the saint still attract a huge number of tourists (Christian and non-Christian alike) from all over the world, especially during the public viewing of his body every ten years (last held in 2014). The saint is said to have miraculous powers of healing.
