Amazing place. People and staff. Bleeds Hyderabadi hospitality.
Great course, some holes are extremely tough, and you'll breeze past some. You're actually playing inside the walls of the fort and it feels absolutely unreal. We've only seen the monument as kids, so it kind of makes it feels special.
Played with some celebrities from the US, and they said it was better than a lot of courses in the US. No electric golf carts you can rent, it's a walking course. Caddies are fun too.
I was a walk-in, and my experience was smooth. I needed to go through a "certification/assessment" because I didn't have my Handicap certificate handy. So you need to visit the range and hit a few balls before they pass you.
Didn't even realise when I got through, as the coach watched, and signed and was close to writing my Handicap. Would suggest calling before you go, as there are a lot of tournaments that happen, they're pretty responsive and patient with all your queries at the front office.
Would make it a point to come back here every time I'm in my home city. Truly...
Read moreBorn and raised in Hyderabad but never got a chance to visit the course, glad I visited during/after the renovation. Also, this review is for driving range only, will update the review once I play a round. Thoroughly enjoyed the multi-storied driving range, experienced easy registration and checkin, although not a great selection of rental clubs at the pro shop, if you bring your own set, you’re going to love this place! The driving range itself gives you a feel of Top Golf sans sports bar and restaurant. The cleanliness surprised me, the staff were wiping the floor multiple times and there were cold water dispensers, cold-drinks(to buy) and clean toilets! To top it off, you can enjoy a refreshing hot cappuccino/espresso after your session. I’ve mostly played public courses in the US but never seen a driving range as clean as this one. The range balls are Srixon and are in good condition, the only gripe if at all was you can hit off of turf mats only. Way to go HGA for building a world class...
Read moreAgainst international standards, facilities are average. Driving range balls are in poor condition, the section to practice driver and woods are completely enclosed in nets, so you can't actually gauge distance of your drives. But where club really fails is in its "user experience". Club rules that make no sense, paying for use of facilities or even coke governed by a mind boggling stupid "top-up card" system that is more of a hassle than a convenience, staff who are more interested in quoting the rules and stating why a certain activity is not allowed more than trying to ensure a paying guest's needs are met...list goes on.
Perhaps a member's experience of the club maybe be different, but for a guest visiting the city and with a desire to play for a bit on a weekend, this club falls far far short of providing a satisfying...
