Best Place for Cycling Lovers in Hyderabad!
If you're in Hyderabad and looking for a peaceful, green, and dedicated space for cycling, Pala Pitta Cycling Park should definitely be on your list. Tucked away in the bustling IT hub of Gachibowli, this park is a breath of fresh air—literally and figuratively. I recently visited with a few friends, and it turned out to be one of the most relaxing yet energizing mornings I’ve had in a long time.
First things first—the park is exclusively built for cycling and walking, which makes it ideal for people who want to enjoy the outdoors without worrying about vehicular traffic or overcrowded roads. The entire track is beautifully maintained, with lush greenery and tall trees on either side. It feels like you’ve escaped the city chaos even though you're right in the heart of it. The cycling path is wide and smooth, perfect for both amateur and seasoned cyclists.
What makes Pala Pitta Park special? It’s not just the environment—it’s the thoughtful facilities. They have a wide variety of cycles available for rent inside the park. Whether you're riding solo or with family, there's something for everyone. You can rent single cycles, double cycles (great fun with friends or partners), and even cycles with baby seats, which is an excellent option for parents with toddlers. It’s heartwarming to see so many families riding together, kids giggling with joy, and everyone embracing the healthy vibe.
If you prefer bringing your own cycle, that’s also allowed. There’s a minimal entry fee for cyclists with their own gear. For those renting, the rates are affordable and time-based, usually charged hourly. The cycles are in good condition, regularly maintained, and the staff at the rental station are polite and helpful. You can choose from gear cycles, comfort bikes, or basic models depending on your preference.
The best time to visit is definitely early morning or just before sunset. The natural light filtering through the trees, the sounds of birds chirping, and the calm all around create a therapeutic atmosphere that city dwellers rarely get to experience.
However, one important point to keep in mind: the park doesn’t have any food or beverage stalls inside. So, it’s a good idea to carry your own water bottles or light snacks, especially if you plan to cycle for long or come with kids. The focus here is purely on fitness and nature—which honestly, is quite refreshing. There are benches and shaded areas where you can take breaks, relax, and chat with your friends or simply soak in the greenery.
We spent about two hours there—cycling, taking photos, chatting under the trees, and enjoying the peace. It’s also a great spot for group hangouts or wellness meetups. If you're someone who enjoys cycling with friends or as part of a fitness routine, this park provides the perfect setting. There’s no honking, no rush, just open paths and clean air.
The park is well-secured and safe, with guards posted and staff members available to guide first-timers. The cycling loop isn’t too steep or difficult, so even beginners and kids can comfortably ride here. There are clear signboards and a designated path for walking, ensuring no interference between pedestrians and cyclists.
Parking is available right outside the entrance, though it may get a little crowded during peak hours like weekends and early mornings. So arriving early is recommended if you’re visiting with a group.
All in all, Pala Pitta Cycling Park is a hidden gem in Hyderabad that deserves more recognition. In a time when screen time is eating up our days, this park encourages people to step out, breathe deeply, move their bodies, and reconnect with nature. It’s a place where fitness meets calm, where laughter rides alongside the sound of pedaling, and where you can make memories that are simple yet meaningful.

Read moreThe place is nice, but the person at the billing counter is neither professional nor customer-friendly. Idk his name He was old around 60+ maybe. He has a QR code scanner with him, and he acts as if he owns the place.
I had an experience where I used to go cycling once every two weeks. On a Sunday, there was a long queue, and I waited for at least 20 minutes to pay the bill. When it was finally my turn, he told me there were no cycles available, so I would need to wait for another 5 minutes. I agreed to wait. However, he deliberately hid the QR code so no one could make payments.
Since I was at the front of the line and had the payment history in my Google Pay, I made the payment again using the previous transaction details. The mini speaker even announced the payment. I told him I had paid and was okay to wait for a few minutes, requesting the ticket. Instead of addressing my request, he ignored me, gave the ticket to someone behind me in the line, and treated me poorly. He questioned me a lot before finally handing over the ticket, even though I had already shown proof of payment.
It felt like he took it personally because he assumed that hiding the QR code would prevent payments. Perhaps I was wrong in some way, but the way he treated people was unacceptable. He could have simply requested everyone to wait instead of being so rude and commanding. If he cannot handle customers, he shouldn't be in charge of the...
