Kashmir is known as heaven because of places like Gulmarg and Sonamarg. We went there in November'15. Place is awesome. There are two levels of Gondola. First level costs Rs.600, second level costs Rs.1400. Second level takes you to 14000ft and top of mountain. Pok is visible from there. Gondola ride is great, sit facing mountain. It's totally packed so there is not even slight fear.
It is one of heavily snowfall areas of kashmir. Thickness of snow was such that feet was going into snow upto knee level even in November.
Weather changes quick. When there is sun light it's too bright. And when it's cloudy it will make you shiver.
Caution: Ask for rate of anything. Be it food, horse ride, atv ride or anything that includes money.
Few tips: Do wear boot or whole kit i.e jacket, gloves, boot. Wear googles. As there may be small drains, stream flowing below , don't go far or where footsteps are not present. Food at top is costly, do try kahwa ( sort of tea). There are horse rides , ATV rides available but costly. And please Don't litter, keep this beautiful...
