Municipal Park | Thiruvalla — Attraction in Kerala

Thiruvalla Municipal Park, once a lively destination in the heart of Thiruvalla, has unfortunately seen better days. In its prime, the park was known for its serene greenery, vibrant rides, and the charm of its restaurants and cafés. Families and individuals alike frequented this spot for relaxation and leisure. However, the current state of the park tells a different story.

The lack of maintenance has led to a decline in the park’s appeal. Overgrown greenery, deteriorated rides, and the absence of functional restaurants and cafés have caused a significant drop in footfall. What was once a bustling hub of activity now feels deserted.

One of the park’s greatest advantages is its location near the bypass, offering ample parking space on nearby streets. This convenience could still attract visitors if the park were revitalized. Proper maintenance, restoration of the rides, and reopening of quality eateries could breathe new life into this space.

Thiruvalla Municipal Park has the potential to become a community favorite again. With its ideal location and infrastructure, it could once more serve as a welcoming spot for families and travelers. A little care and effort from the authorities could transform it back into the vibrant park it once was, offering a much-needed recreational escape for the people...

This park is very good! The rates are decent, not too expensive nor cheap. There is a restaurant nearby if you want food as well. Parking is non-existent. Parking is very hard here especially since it's near the Bypass. Food is decent and the staff is decently kind. The park is usually moderately filled so it is going to be a little bit busy. People from all ages come here to have a good time with their family and friends. You can see animals, play on swings, trampolines, climb on different things etc. U can definitely spend 1-3 hours here by sitting simply or by enjoying the rides. You also have small boats which you can row and you can also socialise with a lot of people here. There is a pool being constructed on the side but no idea as to when it will finish. The rides are safe as well but I would be a bit cautious. It is a park and thousands of people come through every year so you have know idea what could happen at any time.

The only con is parking space. Other than that, it's pretty cool. Have fun playing!

One of the worst experience. Visited last month. Nobody was there in front counter so we thought there is no entry fee. When we reached the other entrance one lady informed us about entry charges. We were wondering. Why we have to pay. When we asked the lady staff there her response was "ellarkkum jeevikkende". She clearly know nothing is there and still they are taking charges. Because none of rides were in working condition. All the parents at that time were thinking the same. We travelled almost one hour to reach here and this was the experience. This is a place for lovers. High time to change the name from municipal park to lovers corner. We can't stop today's youth or we can't change them. They are forgetting the etiquette totally.
