Sea View Park Thalassery — Attraction in Kerala

I visited this park with my companion, and while the atmosphere and surroundings were pleasant, one incident left a negative impression. My companion was sitting on a swing when a security guard approached us and, in a very rude manner, instructed us not to use it. As paying visitors who had entered with valid tickets, such behavior was completely unprofessional and unnecessary.

When we calmly questioned his approach and reminded him that visitors deserve respect, the guard immediately apologized. This itself shows that his initial behavior was inappropriate. Visitors come to a park for relaxation and enjoyment, not to face discourtesy from staff.

What is even more disappointing is that there were individuals openly smoking cigarettes inside the park, which the security staff completely ignored. Instead of addressing such issues that genuinely disturb the environment, the guard chose to be rude to polite visitors like us.

If the swing is unsafe or not intended for use, the management should either remove it or display a clear disclaimer board. Leaving it accessible without instructions and then scolding visitors only creates confusion and unpleasant experiences.

Nice view! On the main highway one can stop but parking is non existent ! There is an entry fee Rs. 10. The place affords a good view and has cement bench seating. You can't access the beach from the facility as there are steel barriers probably as it is unsafe waters. A restaurant with a good view is located as soon as you enter. Now seating under covered roof affording a nice sea view. Since I did not eat there I cannot comment but the restaurant speciality is Arabic food and of course Kerala porota and Kerala Curries suitably adapted to suit the palate of the non traditional food...
