Nice place for evenings. A good promenade for evening walks, however need to maintain properly. Currently it open ended with no fencing for the lame shore at one end. The open area beside the promenade is totally abandoned, which must be maintained well to use as a playground. I remember people used to play cricket and football pre covid times. Adding more sitting places would be ideal for families to spent evenings there. Some decent F&B outlets would be a sure go, currently the KTDC motel araam is there however families wont prefer it since its famous as beer parlour. It seems they are arranging a food truck on a permanently fixed double ducker bus in the compound.

This can be said as one of the hidden spots in Kerala. People from Kottayam or Alappuzha district can get here within one hour. The spot can be said as very calm and peaceful. The place ambiance is also increased by adding some of the artwork installations from 'Kerala Lalitha Kala Academy'. Prefferebly evenings are best as the time. Also the Ktdc beer parlour which is made in the shape of a boat also an attraction. As we can say "Beer + lakeside = First class combination". There are some more facilities required to make it as a proper tourist spot. Anyway this will be a better place for all the tourists, families and even for bachelors

Unlike other beaches..this a lake side shore which further developed to be a lookalike one....due to its historic background..nd ideal location...it's a typical backwater spot...with walkways nd benches .. accompanied by statues nd engravements along the side ..it's a perfect evening destination..it's like sitting in Kottayam district nd facing Alappuzha...the vembanad lake give us the refreshing evening sunset(typically)...nd the nonstop winds keeps us cool Monsoon is the best time to visit...as it showcases the scenic beauty of the arriving rainfalls..a good family get-together ..nd friends timepass spot...

Scenic spot for hangout. Icecream parlours are available and also one cafe is available named Food on wheels and that means the cafe is built on the body of a KSRTC bus. Evenings are more attractive here. Boat, Jangar and bus facilities are available nearby this place. Also, Vaikom Mahadeva Temple, Vaikom govt park is also nearby. Really liked this spot and should visit once a while. This location is only 30-35kms away from Kochi/Ernakulam city and you can reach here by bus/own vehicle or else waterway is also possible.

A peaceful place to spend the evenings. Though the name has “beach” in it, it is backwaters, not sea as we generally assume. The foot paths are mostly clean. The sunset view from here is spectacular. You can see a lot of fishermen in small boats. KTDC beer and wine parlour is nearby. So, a nice place for someone who wanna sip a glass of beer and enjoy the cool breeze coming from the backwaters. The road sides are not maintained properly. There is a boat jetty nearby. So the traffic can be more at times.
