Hands down the best Appam and Mutta I've ever had, and I've tried them at nearly every restaurant and thattukada in Vaikom. This place is definitely one of the two must-try spots in the area. Open 24/7, 365 days a year, it’s my go-to when I’m working late, especially around 11 pm. The food is consistently delicious and incredibly reasonable for the price.
Unnichettan and the staff are always friendly, chill, and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. I ordered appam, omelette with beef fry and I was very impressed by the quality and quantity of the food. The beef was tender and flavorful and the appam was soft and fluffy. They tasted even better when they were served hot.
The restaurant had a cozy and nostalgic atmosphere that reminded me of the traditional thattukada in Kerala in the late 90s. They also had other dishes like dosa, omelette, etc. that looked delicious.
