Hands down the best Appam and Mutta I've ever had, and I've tried them at nearly every restaurant and thattukada in Vaikom. This place is definitely one of the two must-try spots in the area. Open 24/7, 365 days a year, it’s my go-to when I’m working late, especially around 11 pm. The food is consistently delicious and incredibly reasonable for the price. Unnichettan and the staff are always friendly, chill, and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. While the seating is limited to about 12 people outdoors, the spacious parking makes it easy to grab a bite. It’s common to see people enjoying their food either standing or in their vehicles. Even with the limited seating, the food and vibe make it well worth the visit. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite after a late shift or just craving something tasty, this place has got you covered. Highly recommended!"**

I wanted to share with you my experience of visiting a late night restaurant in Vaikom. It is called Tea shop (appavum mutta roastum) and it is famous for its authentic appam with mutta roast. I ordered appam, omelette with beef fry and I was very impressed by the quality and quantity of the food. The beef was tender and flavorful and the appam was soft and fluffy. They tasted even better when they were served hot. The restaurant had a cozy and nostalgic atmosphere that reminded me of the traditional thattukada in Kerala in the late 90s. They also had other dishes like dosa, omelette, etc. that looked delicious. If you ever visit Vaikom at night, you should definitely try this place. You will not regret it.

Tried the Appam and Mutta Curry at this small shop in Vaikom — absolutely delicious! 🥥🍳 The appams were soft with crispy edges, and the egg curry was rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. The place gives a real homely touch with friendly service and affordable prices. A must-try for anyone visiting Vaikom

I recently visited this place and while the food quality was good, I was very disappointed with the overall hygiene and cleanliness inside the premises. The people preparing food were not wearing gloves or head caps, which raises serious concerns about food safety.

Additionally, I only came to pick up a parcel, but the staff behavior, especially towards people sitting inside, was quite unprofessional and unpleasant. It's important for a restaurant to maintain not just good food but also clean working conditions and...
