This Korean food truck is run and owned by a Bengali owner. Arghya Mukherjee, did Civil Engineering, but his passion was somewhere else. He wanted to make people enjoy food at very reasonable prices, so he tapped upon the idea of running a food truck in Southern Kolkata. Though facing some problems regarding the placement of the food truck, he and his team are doing business in a flash. The rush is extreme on the weekend and you have to be really patient to get hands in your order, this place is gaining reputation and fame within a very short span of time. Opened in the end of October, but word of mouth has made this place immensely popular. Currently, he has 3 employees and he is also in constant co-ordination with them, but he wants to increase the number of employees, so as to make his dream come true, which is opening his own outlet and franchisee throughout the city.

🟢 The easiest way to reach here is to take an exit from Kalighat Metro Station (Gate No. 4 - Lake Mall Gate) cross the road and take an auto which goes till Gariahat. Crossing Citi Style Mall, get down at the next signal and take a right, you will fall on Jatin Bagchi Road, just entering the road, you will a yellow truck on your right. 🟢 The official time is maybe from 3pm, but my suggestion is to go there between 4:30-5pm. 🟢 There is no booking facility and they serve on first come first serve basis. 🟢 The rush is more on the weekends, so please be patient and wait for your order. 🟢 There is no separate seating arrangement. 🟢 Please decide your order and complete your order at a single time only, otherwise you have to wait the entire queue to take your next order. 🟢 Coming to the food : 🟨 Half and Half Corndog - A corn dog is a sausage on a stick that has been coated in a thick layer of cornmeal batter and deep fried. This corndog contains a mozzarella stick on top and a chicken sausage at the bottom, and then it it is coated in a batter and deep fried, then it is garnished with honey & mustard sauce. Very filling and worth the money. 🟨 Boneless Gang Jeong Chicken - Gang Jeong is a crispy Korean fried chicken glazed in a sticky, sweet, tangy and spicy sauce. Here, 8pcs of Korean Fried Chicken are tossed in a sauce and topped with spring onion. I found the taste of soy sauce to a bit overpowering, but it might be one time thing. 🟨 Chicken Wings Swicy - Chicken Wings with skin double fried and tossed in a sweet and spicy sauce, it is crispy and the meat inside tasted delicious, soft, tender and tasty at the same time, it is must try item. 🟢 Thy use paper plates, and bamboo sticks as cutlery. 🟢The waiting time is not much. 🟢 Proper health and hygiene is maintained inside the kitchen. 🟢 Accepts cash and...
Read moreI am writing this with a strong disappointment. It's not about the food but the service! My worst experience in any Korean street food cafe in Kolkata. At first I felt the price was a little overpriced but it was still okay as it tastes good. But they don't have any professional behaviour. I understand the place is quite short so we the customers have to wait. Every bill has its token number on. But they didn't tell us anything about it such as "there's your token number, we will call you after your food is ready or there's a vacant seat". Nope! We were standing near the counter to get a table and it was really embarrassing for both who were eating and us. After we sat down then they were telling us to wait outside. They could have told it right after our Billing was done! And to my surprise a little girl who was selling roses outside the cafe, she entered inside and started asking customers who were eating to give her food whatever they were eating. Everyone started looking at the counter if they would do anything but they didn't care. The little girl even picked up someone's food and said she wanted it. It was quite embarrassing that in a cafe we can't even have food peacefully. I am sorry if I am being rude but I cannot take this kind of service in a cafe. We do have street food and little children keep nagging sometimes and yes we offer them to have food too . It was a common picture to me in the streets of Kolkata until now. But I couldn't imagine this inside of a cafe. This happened to us on 6th January and people who visited there around 6-7pm had faced it too. I hope they will also share the worst experience and customer service in this...
Read moreI was the biggest fan of this place. I had recommended it to all my friends and family members and even took them here when we met. Recently, it has been the worst experience for me. Two biggest reasons of me living it so much - affordability and quality. Their prices now have doubled, some even almost tripled on their menu. Corn dog is now 199+rs and chicken that used to be 150-170rs is now 400rs+... their corn dogs used to be alternative of cheese and hot dog. Now I think they have changed the recipe of that too as I was not getting much cheese, I think 1 slice of cheese is wrapped around the sausage, wrapped in batter and deep fried (maybe, or maybe they have changed their recipe). Their swicy chicken was best in town. Now their fried chicken is just a dry and chewy mess and quality of their sauce has also decreased. Earlier it was a sticky runny sauce now they put less sauce of dry fried chicken which makes it soggy and all sauce gets absorbed in the chicken which tastes very bad. My request to you is bring back old prices and the quality. But again I understand that isn't how a business works. I experienced this before but still I kept going for the sake of old memories with friends and my boyfriend since we all live in different places now and like to meet at this food joint that was once our fav for the sake of nostalgia. Any who I don't think I will ever be visiting this place again anymore. Pls take old customers recent feedback and try to give this...
