A stunning new addition to South Kolkata's Italian cafes. I'd rather say a great addition..
Their art of making Italian delicacies, behaviour towards each and every customer, urge to listen everyone's feedback about the ambiance and food -was spectacular. Although a new cafe or restaurant takes time to develop its professionalism in service and consistency in food, but they are exceptional and doing great in both fields :D
We ordered their three kinds of coffee variants, one pizza, one from mains section, and lastly a dessert.
🫶Coffees were Cortado, Affogato and Caramel Machiato. Both were exceptionally good, being a coffee buff I will insist you to try their coffee once at least, and you will fall in love eventually..
The chicken starter was lipsmacking..
🫶Now, the P I Z Z Z Z A... The base sauce of our Mirabelle Classico Pizza was Pesto, with a hint of chilli. It was just perfection! (& I have never tasted such soft 'sides' of a Pizza Napoletana from any other authentic Italian joints in Kolkata)
The dish with Bhetki fillet was also freshly made.. loved it.
We are a hardcore Tirumisu lover, but being a Tiramisu-addict the experience of tiramisu here was not so great. I am not saying it was bad.. actually the coffee taste was amazing as it should be, and the mascarpone cream was also delicious, but the lady fingers were very very soggy(You can see in pictures as well). Lastly, according to the price they should serve it with a little more quantity. Quantity was quite less.. One more negative side: At the beginning we wanted to order interesting coffees like white chocolate mocha, picollo latte, dishes like calamari and many more, but nothing was available that day. Surely they will manage this issue day by day, I knew it!
♥️This was our experience with Mirabelle, it is a unique cafe, where the foods and coffees both are...
Read moreThe café is beautifully aesthetic — warm lighting, tasteful decor and little corners that feel made for photos and comfy conversations. It felt relaxed, not trying too hard, polite, attentive staff.
Now about the food:
Chicken dish (name slipped my mind): Tender and flavorful — juicy inside with a good sear. It wasn’t overly complicated, which worked in its favour: clean, simple flavours done well.
Iced tea: Light and refreshing, a nice palate cleanser between bites. Balanced sweetness and served properly chilled, exactly what you want on a warm afternoon.
Lasagne: A comforting, well-baked plate — generous layers, a nicely browned top and a warm, saucy center. It had a homey, satisfying balance of pasta-to-filling ratio and the seasoning was spot on. Perfect when you want something hearty and familiar.
Tiramisu (highly recommended) : This is the highlight. Silky mascarpone, sponge layers that are soaked just enough in coffee (not soggy), and a gentle dusting of cocoa on top. It hits the perfect balance of creaminess and coffee bite — airy, not overly sweet, and utterly moreish. If you go to Mirabella’s, don’t skip it.
About Service:
Service was friendly and unobtrusive staff checked in at the right times and the pace of the meal felt relaxed. The café’s aesthetic makes it ideal for a casual date, a solo work session with a laptop, or catching up with a friend.
Overall rating: Mirabella’s does a lovely job blending atmosphere with reliably good food. The lasagne and the chicken were solid, the iced tea refreshing, but the tiramisu is the true standout — I’d go back just for that. Overall...
Read moreMirabelle had been on my wishlist for quite some time, and I was finally able to tick it off. Thankfully, it mostly lived up to my expectations. This new pizzeria-cum-café has been making waves for its Neapolitan-style pizzas and specialty coffees. While one truly impressed us, the other fell short.
We ordered: Cinnamon & Orange Cold Brew Cajun Pollo Pollo Greca Pizza Tiramisu
The Cajun Pollo was hands down one of the best appetizers I’ve ever had. Bite-sized, succulent chicken pieces were cooked in Cajun spices, delivering a fantastic burst of flavor.
The Pollo Greca Pizza was another winner—easily one of the best Neapolitan-style pizzas I’ve had in town. It had a parmesan sauce base, rocket leaves, zucchini, and deliciously smoked chicken. The crust was perfectly soft without being chewy, and the balance of flavors was spot on.
We ended the meal with a Tiramisu, which was a perfect conclusion to an already great experience. Freshly made, light, and airy, it had a wonderful balance of bitterness and creamy sweetness.
Unfortunately, the Cinnamon Orange Cold Brew didn’t meet our expectations. Given the café’s reputation for specialty coffee, we had high hopes, but this drink lacked the strength of coffee. The cinnamon and orange flavors were distinct, but the coffee itself was too mild, making it taste more like a flavored drink rather than a proper cold brew. At its price point, it felt underwhelming.
Barring the coffee, our experience at Mirabelle was fantastic. The food was outstanding, and we are looking forward to return to try more dishes—perhaps even giving their coffee...
