Ganapatipule, one of the ā€œAshta-Vinayakā€, located in district of Ratnagiri, has self incarnated Idol. Facing west. Some Say it protects Western Ghat. Sukha karta, Dukh harta Ganesh. So usually people stay around Ratnagiri and early morning come to Ganapatipule temple to have all their problems vanish away. Saying Ganapatipule I do always remember about movie in Marathi ā€œNavra Maza Navsaachaā€ in which in funny way they showed a couples ā€˜Navas’ getting completed and all problems getting vanished. So if you say Ganapatipule people in our family would always sing ā€œChala Nagadeā€ song 🫣 Okay so as we reached, around 10, Google Maps showed us entry from other side, but we got to know actual way as all police and ticket collector stayed and many people went to that way. Entry is one way. With parking allowed at start but it’s risky to park there at the side of road. They also have a private parking at right which takes money. We didn’t dare to go far to park. And paid 50 Rs for car, which I guess was good decision. As later when leaving there was huge traffic jam and this parking had alternate with to go out. Though as we walked ahead there was some free parking board ahead. As we moved towards the temple you can appreciate scenic beach, and cool breeze. There is free chappal stand just besides and then the line starts. At start it was only 2 lines but later as devotees increased they had to increase the lines. Then we moved in. There are 6 more lines to move away and might take approx 30 min to cover it up. It was hot, and me being an adolescent now and combined with hot temperature was getting irritation from children climbing pole 🫣. I might have beaten anyone 🤣. But I controlled and move in… Ahead there is counter for Abhishek (Pavti) we went ahead…. Go the beautiful Temple. Outside the police told to move fast as they will be closing line. Inside also everyone was fast. But one could see that beautiful self incarnated Ganesha idol. It was such a beautiful 🤩. We quickly prayed and pushed out. Then we enjoyed outside. Some view of beach. Had photos, seat, talk. There is also place for mukhah Darshan. As we walked out there is Prasad Counter. Where you get 2 ā€˜Bundhicha’ Ladoo for 25 Rs. we had it there only and moved out. Outside there was huge traffic jam and thank god the place where we parked had an alternate route. To avoid it.

Ganpatipule, a serene coastal paradise on the western coast of Maharashtra, beckons travelers with its enchanting beauty and spiritual aura. Nestled in nature's embrace, this quaint town is renowned for its pristine beaches, ancient Ganpati temple, and tranquil ambiance. The highlight of Ganpatipule is undoubtedly its stunning shoreline. The golden sands stretch for miles, inviting leisurely strolls and moments of solitude. The azure waters of the Arabian Sea gently caress the shore, creating a mesmerizing rhythm that soothes the soul. The beach provides ample opportunities for sunbathing, water sports, and capturing breathtaking sunsets that paint the sky in a kaleidoscope of colors. At the heart of Ganpatipule stands the revered Swayambhu Ganpati Temple, dedicated to Lord Ganesha. Surrounded by legends and folklore, the temple exudes an aura of divinity and devotion. Pilgrims and tourists alike gather here to seek blessings and witness the seamless blend of spirituality and natural beauty. Ganpatipule's tranquility offers a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of city life. The unhurried pace and simple pleasures of the town make it a perfect getaway for those seeking rejuvenation. Local cuisine, especially seafood delicacies, tantalize taste buds, leaving an indelible culinary memory. While Ganpatipule captivates with its unspoiled charm, it's important to note that the infrastructure and amenities may vary, providing a rustic charm that complements the overall experience. The town's simplicity and raw beauty transport visitors to a simpler time, making it a cherished destination for nature lovers, devotees, and those in search of serenity.

Very nice clean and neat place to visit. Originally it was pule only. It renamed as Ganapatipule after the lord Ganapati came here with umbrage made by a native lady from Gule. Temple is at the base of one hill and close to the beachside. Ganapati idol is Swayambhu (sprung up from the soil) since 400 years. The town is a very small town with about 100 houses. Beautiful place to spend evening in city and watch the sunset. The beach is clean and beautiful but it is very risky. Ganpatipule temple opens at 5.00 AM and closes at 9:00 PM. The prayer or Aarti is done thrice a day at 5:00 AM, 12:00 noon and 7:00 PM. The best month to visit Ganpatipule are the months of October to March. Nearest tourist places - 1. Kavi Keshavsoot memorial (the birthplace of a renowned poet in Marathi) is the nearest famous tourist place in Ganpatipule. The memorial is around 3 KM away from the Ganpatipule temple premise. 2. Jaigad Fort (19 KM) is the nearest fort, located on the Shastri river. Krhrateshwara Shiva (23 KM) temple and Jay Vinayak Temple (15 KM) near Jaigad. 3. Omkareshwar temple in Malgund is a famous temple in Ganpatipule. It's around 28 KM away from Ganpatipule. Special food specialty and hotel Modak, the favorite snack of Lord Ganesh is famous and favored. Being on the coast, Ganpatipule also has a variety of seafood. Kokum drink called Sol-kadhi is also famous. One can even enjoy many types of fruits like mango, cashew, jackfruit, coconut, etc. Traditional Maharashtrian food is also available, which is a unique feature that one must try.
