Aaswad Restaurant — Restaurant in Maharashtra

On Saturday we went to this hotel and received a horrible service. We ordered 7 Aswaad thaalis and waited for almost 30 mins to be served. While thaalis arrived, one thali was missing. No water was served, only 2 glasses and half jug of water was placed on table when we were 7 people. No spoons no tissues, we used our own tissues and napkins to wipe our hands. You can't expect a finger bowl in this situation. Our driver ordered 1 chapati and they put 4 chapatis on his plate. We asked to get them the Missing thali which took again 20 mins to serve. After 20 mins they came up with some North Indian dish and a empty plate which again fumed us. In that plate there were 2 sabzis included which again one sabzi and rice was missing still they charged us a full plate. Atlast we asked to get the rice parcelled which was remained on each of our plate, they just got parceled in polythene bag which was again not nice to experience. Interior is nice, washroom was horrible and wash basin was clogged with tissues. They have huge staff but no co ordination between them. I had my lunch at this Vegetarian restaurant belonging to Pure Vegetarian lovers. The whole menu was veg. They have special Non veg restaurant separately.

There was no crowd at all in the restaurant so it was peaceful as it was off season time and restaurant staff was on leave. We arrived one day before Ganpati festival first day in week days.

In food we ordered "Aaswaad Special Veg Thali" which cost around ₹195 for two people and it was paisa wasool Thali. All the food was like home cooked food and made in Konkani style. I liked Solakadi and moreover aamras served as sweet 😋

Disappointing Sumai Fish Thali

I tried the Sumai fish thali, and it was a huge letdown. The fish was rubbery and lacked any flavor, and the curry was overly greasy with no balance. The rice was dry, and the sides were bland at best. To make matters worse, the service was extremely slow.
