I had the most terrific experience today by morning 3Am on June 6,2024. My Name is Sudheesh and I was traveling from Delhi to bangalore via Bhubaneswar in Airindia Express. I checked in to the lounge by 10.30 or 11 pm. As I missed my evening flight I waited outside the airport for 5 hours before checking in and finally got into the lounge. I was kind of disoriented at the time of getting inside because of the temperature outside and waiting for a long time. Since I entered the lounge..I gave my card, the staff dint ask me my ticket I believe. After having food I slept off..I could not remember anything and I was in deep sleep. Around 3am someone wake me up , I was still tired and exhausted..Once i opened my eyes the particular guy asked me for the entry slip, after checking the same he shout at me asking why am at lounge for longer time. I have told him about my situation and he was telling me repeatedly that night their staff has informed me that my time is over before and irrespective of their advice or warning I stayed at the lounge. I repeatedly told the manager that I was in deep sleep and no one had informed me or have a check on me. Infront of all the passengers there two staffs was treating me badly as I lied or stayed extra hours without authority. They even lied me that they have proof for it in their CC TV. And when they asked me to show the same ..they changed the topic. I happened to ask the staff" Tera problem kya hein "when he started harassing me and shouting at me as am a culprit . Suddenly he threatened me that he will ask the authority to arrest me, de board me etc The entire people present at the lounge were seeing the whole scenarios. I said I am ready to swipe the card from beginning but the staff Mr Manohar was so arrogant and rude blaming me that I did it purposefully. Atlast to the person interfered I asked to get the officials , they denied my request and started blaming again. My question is , Is this the way someone is treated and humiliated for getting an airport service. And personal like Mr Manohar was so culture less and disrespectful. So guys beware about this person Mr Manohar.

Read moreIf there is one word I would not use for this lounge, it’s “calm.” Encalm was anything but calming. My experience here was extremely disappointing, especially due to the unprofessional behavior of their manager, Mr. Animesh.
We had a long layover of 5 hours. After sitting inside the lounge for about an hour, we politely asked the staff if we could step out and return later. The staff clearly told us, “Yes, you can come back, just keep your receipt.” Trusting their word, we went out.
When we returned, Mr. Animesh checked our receipt and very rudely said, “You cannot get in, you are not allowed.” We tried to explain that we had already confirmed with his own staff, but instead of handling the situation with basic courtesy, he chose to speak in the most unprofessional and condescending manner.
Hospitality is not just about serving food or providing seating,it is first and foremost about how you treat your guests. Even if the rule was different, it could have been explained politely and respectfully. The sheer lack of manners and arrogance shown by Mr. Animesh makes him absolutely unsuitable for a customer-facing role in hospitality.
For a place that calls itself Encalm, there was nothing calming about this experience. Instead, it left us frustrated and disrespected. I would strongly recommend travelers to think twice before spending money here or using their loyalty membership. A lounge should make you feel welcomed and cared for,...
