The Église de Notre Dame des Anges (The Church of Our Lady of Angels), in Rue Dumas, is notable for its masonry – which uses the finest of limestone mixed with white of the egg – making for a texture identical to that of white marble...it is modeled on the Basilica at Lourdes, in southern France...the imposing façade presents paired Doric columns below and ionic above. In front of the church is a statue of Our Lady with the infant Jesus in her arms...the interior design consists of eight barrel vaults and a central dome pierced with eight circular openings... It is really beautiful inside the cathedral and is very nicely maintained...

One of the most beautiful churches that I have seen. I simply fell in love with the peaceful atmosphere inside as well as outside the church. The church interior has a very detailed design and has pictures depicting every moment of the crucification of Jesus Christ. The choice of colours on walls, ceilings and even windows, was very creative indeed. The surrounding campus is equally adorable, with ample for vehicle parking and walking around in the premises. This one is a typical french style church which you may not find at other places in India. Do not forget to visit this church when you are in Pondicherry.

While exploring the charming streets of White Town, a visit to this beautiful church is a must. The architecture, influenced by French design, is captivating. The detailed and colorful ceiling and walls are a feast for the eyes, capturing your attention as soon as you enter. The church welcomes everyone, offering a tranquil space perfect for some quiet reflection. Visiting on a weekday, we found it to be peaceful and serene, allowing us to fully appreciate the beauty and calmness of the surroundings. It's a lovely spot to spend some quiet time and soak in the peaceful ambiance. Definitely worth a visit!

Serene, beautiful and majestic church right in the heart of the French quarter! Notre Dame des Angels Church is one of the most beautiful churches in Pondicherry. It’s located in a very quite part of town close to Bharathi Park. The ceiling is covered with beautiful murals and the stained glasswork is quite exquisite. There’s a sense of calmness that pervades the entire space of the main chapel. People of any religion can enter here. Just be respectful and maintain silence as many would be observing prayer. Also, leave any footwear outside. A must visit if you’re in Pondicherry!

This is a beautiful gothic french church. With best french interior carving details on the walls, pillars and all over the interior of the church with such good lighting and Colors brightnens up the ambience. This light colour and the great creative carving art work around give a very rich healing spiritual ambience. The beautiful chandelier, wal lights, etc.. it was been so heavenly vibe inside it. I am so glad I came across this church while we were casual passing through the white town. It is One of the beautiful churches of pondicherry.

Never seen such a big church before. The church is so beautifully decorated and attracts all the crowd. It is good to see this during evening in lights. We visited this twice, one in the day and once in the evening.. The church is quite vast and big, also some meeting was going on and we didn't want to distribute that with photos. So we just stepped in sat for a while and came out. Also the place is secular and everyone is allowed. Loved the church anyways
