Rendezvous !!! You guys are simply superb! During our visit to Pondi with our pet, we wanted a Pet friendly cafe as we didnt want to leave him alone at room. We searched for good cafes and we found the treasure Rendezvous.

We reached there by 2:30PM and as soon as we went , we were treated with smiles and our pet was served with water by the staff.

Ambience was too good - Roof top cafe.

I was actually feeling heavy so I just had icecream and my friends ordered Butter Garlic Prawns and Chicken Fried Rice and Wings.

The aroma was so good , my taste buds and my nose wanted to taste but I couldnt as I was already full and also I am a vegetarian.It was that temptinggggg..

They ordered a second round of butter garlic prawns for parcel and also Fried rice to be parcelled. When we came back to room and at night when they opened the same again it was very tempting.

So we decided after our checkout next day we will have our lunch there and then go to Bangalore.

Next day when we went , again the same smiles greeted us and welcomed Us. My order for the day was Veg Fried Rice and Butter Garlic Mushroom which was a delicious treat. It's been ages having such delicious food and my taste buds has forgotten the taste of a good Fried Rice after Aromas of China was closed in Bangalore.

People visiting Pondi - Make this a must visit place for lunch or dinner. Would suggest dinner for the more enhanced...

For my birthday dinner, We went in a group of 5, 1 veggie and rest non veggies, the place was good, looked clean, we hadn't made any reservation, they let us in after confirming that the table was free. They had mentioned at the door way that there will be a delay, but din think it would be this bad. First we ordered a few starters, which after a good 30 minutes, brought one by one 10 15 mins apart. Then in between we had ordered main course, for which they took an eternity, that too they brought one by one 1520 mins apart. We had to wait a long till all our food came to start. Apart from "garlic butter mushroom", all the items were bad, the worst was "sliced stir fried beef" and "honey chilli fries". Deserts were out of the question as they started winding up and also we didn't have the nerve to do it again. While leaving, we had asked them for a feedback form or something for customers, which they said they didn't have. So ended up in this review. The day we went, they didn't serve alcohol as they said it was a dry day as per the govt, it might be a reason why we didn't like the food. The place is good, but food and service is not worth 960/head(still have the bill with me). Two of us got stomach pain the following day. request the owners to at least make available a feedback book for the customers. Still confused how they got a 4.3 rating with this kind of service and...

This was such a shocking experience. I don't know where to begin.

Went here after 20 years or so and the degeneration of this once charming bistro into a shady bar with red and white decor, big TV playing cricket and bad music is just a BIG BIG LET DOWN.

The service is deplorable. The waiters aren't trained and think it's okay to get in the face of customers and crack jokes. Covid or not this is just not acceptable behaviour.

I ordered the Ratatouille and they served a small portion of veggies cooked in tomato ketchup. No, literally, the sauce was pureed tomatoes, sugar and ketchup. The Ratatouille is a wonderfully sublime and comforting dish made with lots of fresh tomatoes and veggies cooked individually to get the perfect texture in an olive oil and butter mix. The side salad was 4 shreds of lettuce, two small pieces of tomato and two pieces of cucumber randomly thrown on the plate that had been lying out in the open all day. There were 4 tbsp of rice on the side.

If it was nice, I would need 3 of those to have a satisfactory meal. Luckily it wasn't and I was SO happy for the small portion.

Anyway... This place is a JOKE! AVOID!

Oh.... On top of it all they have a bouncer like fellow at the bottom of the stairs acting like he is doing you a favour by letting you in.

This place is living on past glory and will slowly become just a bar. Maybe it...
