Main Deity : Sri Kalahastheeswara Swamy(Form of SHIVA) Ambal : Sri Gnanambigai Other Deities : Kalyanasundaramoorthy, Ashtadhasa Bhujamaha Durgai, Jeeraheswarar Prominence of the Shrine : Worshing Gnanambigai at this shrine offers the same munificence as the one received after worshipping the Kalahasthi Peruman of Vayulinga Kshetra. The Jeerageswarar here is believed to bring down high fever of the devotees, if they anoint Jeeraheswarar in hot water, offers boiled rice, pepper soup with dhal paste as side dish, worship him with Vilva leaves and consume the Vibbuti offered as prasadam. The bell at the temple when rung, reverberates with the sound ‘OM’. The Lord of this shrine appears at Mahamaham celebrations. Temple History : This temple has been renovated by King Saraboji who ruled Tanjore. If the devotees worship the Ambal here, it is equivalent of worshipping at Kalahasthi. Dedicated Sannidhi for Lord Kalyana Sundara Murthy and Goddess Karththiyayini.
