Periyar Nagar Park - Erode — Attraction in Tamil Nadu

Wow. The Park is just behind ERODE HEAD POST OFFICE in a by lane. It is more or less in a rectangular safe. The outer fringes with bordered big trees look beautiful. In the middle there are two lawns with elegantly grown grass fields. The park is provided with benches where we can sit in the shade and relax.

There are side walks where we can stroll if we are inclined to . The park is provided with merry go rounds , slides, and unjals where children and women can have fun. Since it is a scenically beautiful place newly married couples do arrange photo shoots there. Actually the PHOTO STUDIO arranged by me for my daughter's marriage function suggested such a shootout there. It came very beautiful. We have to pay a price for arranging a shootout there. An entrance fee for the park is there.

Opening times 4:30pm -8:30pm. Ticket price Rs10 rupees for an adult and kids over 3 years. It is free if less than 3 years. They have drinking water and tap water Toilets available CCTV fitted Well maintained and clean. A lot of plants available. the park is a bit cooler than rest of the erode. Don't know why. Crowded Some food stalls are available outside the park. They sell chilly-cauliflower, pani-puri, bavbajji, cutlets, french fries, samosa,etc. you can buy food from there and take it inside the park. Toy shops are available outside the park We visited in summer. No mosquitoes even...

Well maintained park, so good atmosphere, but a small park, crowded in weekends as well weekdays too. Ticket fare of rs. 10 is a bit high. Seperate swing areas for kids agewise, that's good. A grassland atmosphere makes it super cool. Good for small photoshoots. May or May not be a picnic area, according to families mindset. Neat and seperate washroom facilities...
