शिव मंदिर बी.एच.यू. — Attraction in Uttar Pradesh

The Shiv Mandir is located in the center of the BHU campus and was the first to be established in the urban area of Varanasi. This temple was built in 1917 The temple is one of the important sites of Indian Hinduism and attracts Indian and foreign visitors. The construction of the Shiva temple started in 1780 and was built by Maharaja Rajeshwar Singh.

The architecture of the temple is famous and it is a grand and beautiful monument made of marble. The idol of Lord Shiva is installed inside the temple which is worshiped day and night by the devotees. There are many other temples and relics around the temple for the devotees to enjoy religious and spiritual activities.
