It is an amazing family-recreation spot for all. With artificial green grass all over the place, in front of the Masjid Raya Bandung, blue skies with white (sometimes grey) clouds in the sky, looking at everyone playing, eating, interacting, with their family. Taking pictures, kicking balls, and running around with their papas... One awesome picture-taking spot is the one with "BANDUNG JUARA" sign. But, if you park your vehicle at the basement, make sure you get THE GREATEST SPOT! I mean, the lower basement is full of trash, leaking pipes, used cart, and mosquitos almost at every corner. Very uncomfortable place to breathe in when you prepare yourself out from the car. While the upper basement is... quite good, with food carts and seats if you wanna get some meals. But really... can you imagine yourself at a recreation park with such parking spot, witness trashes scattered all over the place, and smell the strongest smell you wish you never wanna breathe in an area you hope to find peace at?

It's a big public place where local people can bring all the family together. Before pandemic the place was used to have big crowds for relax and chill out after long strolling over the city. The location is on the center of Bandung city. Near to some tourist attraction like Asia Africa Monument, Braga Street, Savoy Homan Hotel and many more. The Alun-alun itself integrated with Masjid Agung Bandung, so muslim people also able to have daily prayer whilst on visit. On the back of Alun-alun there is halte for Bandung Tourist on the Bus or Bandros. Tourist can have a 45 minutes trip around the centre of Bandung city with a tour guide explains some history of Bandung city. The trip cost 20K/ person. I think it's one of easy way to catch some glimpse of Bandung city. There are toilets, basement canteen and basement parking available there. Evening around 15.30 to 17.00 is the best time to chill and relax in alun-alun Bandung. No need to worry for food and drink jajan cemilan around 😊

One of my fovourite place to visit with my son, because the field is sooo wide with a good artificial grass, my kid could run as far as he could. He is so happy to play here. Best time to play here is in the morning or afternoon, but at night this place is still bright. Just remember to bring a bag to keep your shoes or sandals, because the visitor must take off their shoes and sandals to be able to enter the field. This one i think to keep the artifial grass clean and in a good shape. The field surrounded by tall buildings, so its like a little green escape in the middle of the crowded city. Car and motorcycle parking area are provided under ground the field, together with the foodcourt. Another parking spot is in the mall next to the field. The field is side by side with the city great mosque on the north side so sometimes it would be more crowded if the mosque has an event on the day you come. Free entry. The bus stop is on the east side of the field.

Across from Masjid/Mosque Raya Bandung. Geen field is made from fake grasses, there's local officer standing by in order visitors following the rules such as take off shoes or flip-flop/sandals while into those fake green grasses area, keep it clean, no alcoholic drinks allowed, no bring sharp weapon/any weapon, etc. It's no entrance fee, mostly busy in the sunrise (jogging activity) or sunset time (gathering with family and friends) or just enjoy sitting at provided bench by the street under the shadow of trees, give it relax and mild wind, looking around people and busy street. It's also start and ending point for around 60 minutes Bandung quick tour with old-unique style and open air vehicle called Bandros, daily from 08:00 to 16:00LT.

Alun alun kota Bandung sebuah area outdoor yang luas dan berada di Jalan Asia Afrika. Tempat ini biasanya menjadi salah satu titik wisata banyak wisatawan yang berkunjung ke Bandung. Maka tak heran, keramaian kerap terjadi tiap akhir pekan. Alun alun Bandung kerap direnovasi dan dikembangkan agar lebih menarik dan nyaman ketika dikunjungi. Kondisi terakhir saat ini, alun alun Bandung terasa lebih cantik dan bersih. Selayaknya sebuah alun alun, terdapat ruang terbuka yang luas, biasanya pengunjung bisa bersantai dan bermain bersama keluarga diruang terbuka tersebut. Alun alun Bandung juga bersanding dengan sebuah masjid besar yakni Masjid Raya Bandung. Lokasi disekitaran alun alun terbilang cukup kondusif. Ditengah teriknya udara Bandung di September 2023 ini, kesejukan masih bisa dirasakan mengingat alun alun Bandung dikelilingi bentang pepohonan tinggi. Hanya saya, akses satu satunya pintu masuk ke alun alun Bandung justru bukan dari Jalan Asia Afrika. Melainkan dari Jalan Dalem Kaum, atau tepatnya didepan Pendopo Kota Bandung. Jadi anda yang turun didepan Jalan Asia Afrika harus berjalan kesisi dalam alun alun untuk masuk kekawasan inti dari alun alun itu sendiri. Buat saya pribadi, hal yang selalu tidak mengenakan sekitaran alun alun Bandung adalah soal ketersediaan lahan parkir. Memang memadai dan banyak. Anda bisa parkir resmi dibasement atau parkir dikantung kantung yang dikelola masyarakat. Namun keduanya bukan solusi terbaik saya rasa. Lokasi basement alun alun terbilang kotor dan temaram. Sedari dulu bahkan terkenal akan rawan tindakan kejahatan. Entah mengapa pemprov kota Bandung tidak terlihat serius soal masalah ini. Lokasi kantung parkir masyarakat juga menjengkelkan karena kerap memberikan biaya parkir yang tidak rasional. Disekitaran Rp. 20.000 - Rp. 40.000 perkendaraan roda empat. Kunjungan terakhir saya saat itu memang banyak petugas keamanan dan petugas kebersihan yang standby berjaga. Sehingga kemanaan dan kebersihan seharusnya bisa dikontrol dengan baik. Tidak ada yang salah dengan alun alunnya. Yang salah buat saya hanya bagaimana pemprov kota Bandung serius membenahi hal hal pendukung lainnya agar pengunjung merasa nyaman.
