Katsunyaka Braga Sarinah — Restaurant in Bandung City

There are not many japanese katsu restaurant available in Bandung so far. This is my first impression and i really enjoyed. For the best experience, i tried to make reservation since that day was my wedding anniversary (make sure to go smoothly).

The reservation service is good and fast response. When i arrived, the front desk already knew and check the available seat. The building is narrow and there is 2nd level upstair. As for covid 19 precaution, there is standard prochedures ( washing hands and body temp checking).

The seatings have the japanese themed like tatami but you can rest your leg lower than the table (there is lower space under table). It is comfortable for people who got big tummy and when eating they tend to get full easily cz of the sitting posture. The waiter/ers were quickly executing orders and tidy up the table. I calculated the serving time was excellent.

Since it is iftar break, all customers got some appetizer drink. I ordered the sweet pudding for my son first before serving the main dishes. For the main dishes, we ordered the promotion package for two and beef katsu omellete curry.

I liked most of the dishes especially the chicken katsu cheese that really melted in your mouth. The curry soup also taste like japanese curry that you can enjoy with all the elements. I rarely to eat the katsu properly ( using the sauce) since there are too many at the table.

With sweet pudding as the closing, it really cleanse my pallate and leave the rich and creamy taste in my mouth that i want it more and more.

It is good restaurant with unique menus. Keep up the good work and i am waiting for another new menu...

Katsu nyah ka ! Lucu banget namanya gampang diinget dan unik. Suka banget sama katsunyaka karena sering banget ada promo.

Untuk lokasinya cukup strategis dan gampang dicari, patokannya disebrang Sarinah Bandung. Dari jauh udah keliatan resto nuansa kayu dengan konsep Jepang. Pas masuk kerasa banget ambience jepangnya, dan staff nya banyak dan ramah

Untuk dine in ada di area lantai 1 dan 2. Bedanya apa? Di lantai 1 kalian bisa makan sambil liat open kitchen mereka dan lebih hectic, sempit. Di lantai 2 lebih private dan ada duduk lesehan ala jepang dan ada area smoking area. Kalau aku sih selalu di lantai 2 yah karena lebih adem dan lebih private, berasa makan di resto mahal. Buat para muslim ada mushola di lantai 3.

KATSUNYAKA MENU:

Buat menu nya disana variatif pokonya masakan jepang smua, jadi kalau ada yang nyari karedok pastinya gaada yaaaa.

SET KATSU:

Set katsu nya mulai dari harga 36k (nasi,katsu chicken ori,miso soup). Bisa beli ala carte juga disana. Pilihan katsunya pun beragam ges ada chicken, beef dan filling katsunya juga beragam. Aku suka banget buat bumbu katsunya, rasa bumbunya tasty tapi kemarin kesana kemanisan menurutku. Oh ya nasi nya juga bisa di upgrade butter rice, tapi menurutku rasa butter rice nya kurang , so i preffer nasi putih biasa.

DRINK n DESSERT:

Kalau kehausan bisa beli ocha (3k) udah free refill, ambil sepuasnya sampe kembung gesss. Disana juga jual air kelapa (15k), cocacola (10k), dan air mineral (6k). Dan wajib nyobain pudding brown sugarnya (15k) sih, super lembut dan manisnya pas.

MENU LAIN:

Disini juga sedia bowl series, sushi, kare omelete dan masih banyak lagi. Kemarin pernah nyobain yang Rice bowl Nanban Chicken (38k) buat rasa mantab ges. Nasinya campuran nori dan legit banget berasa enak gtu bukan kaya nasi biasa. Nanban nya bumbunya pas dan ayamnya banyak. Makan pas hangat lebih mantab lagi, 1 porsi puas banget (must to try)

MERCHANDISE: Mereka juga jualan merchandise di dekat kasir, kaya kaos dll tapi gatau harganya

PROMO TIPS:

Aku suka banget datang pas lagi ada promo, hari ini pesen paket KAYANG 25k ( nasi, ori katsu chicken,egg roll). Tapi sayang banget kali ini ayamnya diperkecil, agak kasar tekstur ayamnta dan nasinya dikit gakaya promo dulu-dulu. But it's okay still love it. Buat promo yang lain bisa stay tune di instagram mereka.

This Japanese Katsunyaka restaurant has been around for 5 years and totally deserves a 5-star rating for its delicious dishes and tasty meat options. It’s located right next to Jaberano Braga, tucked inside a small alley near the outdoor area of Jaberano.

The place offers a wide variety of authentic Japanese food. It’s a bit narrow—typical Japanese style—but it has two floors with options for tatami seating or regular chairs.

Prices are wallet-friendly, so it’s definitely worth a visit if you’re around Braga or the Asia-Africa Conference Museum area.

🅿️ Parking is limited but there are a few spots. 🚻 Toilets are decent. 🎰 Payment can be made by card or QRIS.
