I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bandar Djakarta, and I must say it was a delightful experience! The restaurant's picturesque location right by the sea creates a serene atmosphere that adds to the overall charm of the place. The extensive menu offers a wide variety of fresh seafood options, prepared and cooked to perfection. From succulent grilled prawns to flavorful fish dishes, every bite was a burst of freshness and taste. The staff were attentive and friendly, providing excellent service throughout our visit. They were knowledgeable about the menu and made helpful recommendations based on our preferences. The ambience is warm and inviting, making it an ideal spot for a relaxed meal with family or friends. While the prices are on the higher side, the quality of the food and the overall dining experience make it worth the investment. Bandar Djakarta Ancol is a great choice for those looking to indulge in delicious seafood while enjoying a beautiful view. Overall, I highly recommend Bandar Djakarta for a memorable dining experience. It's a perfect blend of great food, friendly service, and a stunning waterfront setting. 4.5 stars for excellent food. We ordered shrimp, calamari, green mussels, kangkung and rice for 2 people. It was a lot, but satisfying. The taste was top, minus 0.5 because I think they put a lot of salt and msg which makes the food taste really good. But after you eat you are always thirsty and have to drink a lot of water. Highlight was the shrimp with spicy honey sauce. 4 stars for the service, the waitress with pink shirt, asked us to change the table we were already sitting at to another table because a couple wanted the table we were sitting at. I asked the waitress if the couple had made a reservation for the table and she said she was there first. Obviously, she wasn't. Because we were there when the other people were done, we are sitting there when the table has not been cleared. That's minus 1 star for unnecessary drama. 4 stars for the other waitress with yellow and red shirts. 3 stars for cleanliness, I know the restaurant staff worked so hard but still it wasn't clean enough. They let people leave empty plates on the table until the customers are done. They should take away the empty dishes directly to make it look clean and neat. The restroom was not clean either. That's minus 2. Overall 4 stars, I am satisfied with the food and its quality and quantity.

A well known seafood restaurant in Jakarta. They serve fresh and even live menu, from fish, prawn, lobster, oyster, squid, etc. The restaurant is perfectly located on seaside of Ancol bay. We can walk along a pier-like bridge to enjoy the wind breeze and Ancol bay atmosphere. This restaurant building is huge. You can do reservation for mass group dining. Or just come without need of reservation with your family. The taste of their food is nice. I ordered: Grilled cheese prawn Kerapu Raja grilled with bandar sauce Bawal Jepang grilled with soy sauce Capcay kuah seafood Karedok All of their food were taste good. I like their grilled cheese prawn so much. The price is worthy for such atmosphere and their good food. They also have fish market. You can buy live or fresh seafood from there. Lot of option to choose. Try to come before lunch time (before 11 am), so you can get easy parking & can choose the dining table freely. Unfortunately there are some unpleasant experiences during my visit. First, there is a fly inside my Capcay Kuah Seafood. I immediately ask the waiter and they replace it with new one. But the new one doesn’t even have single seafood inside, just pure vegetables. I put down my 5 stars for this reason. Second, during my check out, I found that my order was not same as my initial request. I request for fresh Kerapu Raja, but on the bill they put live Kerapu Raja instead. The hell I know about the food that I ate, whether it fresh or live. It looks same after grilled process. The waiter also not confirm with the food that they serve. I put down another star with this unpleasant experience.

Very large restaurant. Around 10 years ago, this restaurant only small place, not really crowded and good place for eat, drink, romantic moment and celebrate birthday in here. (You should tell waitress that one of your group birthday and shown them the ID card/paspor, you can get fireworks and singing happy birthday and souvenir from them) Now this business growing well and very hard to find good spot to eat (especially weekend), when you come for dinner variant seafood could be lesser than usually. I hardly found fire shrimp (the tiny shrimp) which is you should try if you can found it. Ask them to make as “udang kering goreng bawang” that’s the best. I also love “kepiting saus padang” and “cumi goreng tepung”. Female crab and female squid is forbid in here (so sad cos I loved it). You should be patient in here. You should know that waitress in here only 2 shift and they work very hard in here to served you well!! They didn’t get good salary too in here (I asked them around 2-3 years ago) so treat them good,ask them nicely, and don’t forget to say thank you. I give 3 stars for this business because for me even food taste good, is very hard to find parking spots, you should pay in ancol gate (each person 25k), seafood mostly not complete while I come, placed to crowded to eat proper, music quite good but happy birthday music always heard in every 10min (i think) and it’s annoyed me.

Its really crowded, mostly filled with alot of chinese tourist as well as large group business dinners and locals that are couples or family. Its a huge restaurant with spacious dining areas. Theres alot of different live seafood to choose from upon entering. You are able to choose the different type of cooking after choosing your seafood (measured by weight). Then you will be ushered to your seat. Upon sitting, you will be given a drink menu to choose your drinks and maybe some appetisers. They have very limited appetisers. The food comes relatively fast. The food taste rather mediocre. I wouldnt say it taste great due to the hype that its one of the best seafood in Jakarta. The taste is quite bland for Indonesian standard of seafood. The taste wasnt absorbed fully into the dishes, it felts like they simply cooked the seafood and splashed the sauce over it. I could taste the segregation of sauce and the seafood. However, the seafood was undeniably fresh (i mean its live). Although there was alot of server, they werent very attentive nor orderly. It was rather difficult to get their attention. Its worth coming here once to get an "experience" but i wouldnt come again. I ate at far better seafood restaurants around Jakarta.

2nd time coming here, which in between I had the pleasure to try the new Bandar Jakarta in PIK2, and boy was I spoiled by it. Which is why tonight when I was invited by my uncle, whom I greatly appreciate, was treated to Seafood far less superior to the one in PIK2. Sorry to say but I have to honest, the food I had in PIK2 were hot, juicy, flavorful and well presented. Polar opposites to the seafood being served here in Ancol branch. On top of that, the place here seems outdated, and in dire need for a makeover, especially on the lighting aspect. Currently is on the dim side. Am not saying the food were bad, it was just okay compared to the PIK2 branch, that's all. The only saving grace was the smoked Crab, that it. It's just unfortunate that I had better food experience other than the ones here. Hopefully management would decide a major upgrade to match the branch in PIK2. I thank you🙏🏻 PS: my opinion does not represent the mass.
