Jakarta Bird Land — Attraction in Jakarta

The entrance of Bird Land Jakarta is the same as the SeaWorld entrance. After walking around +/- 150 meters to the sea world, you will see the sign of Bird Land Jakarta. Like most ticket purchases in Ancol, buy the tickets online. It is fast and easy.

The park has two levels, but no worry, the park provides escalators to the second level where you will see an overall view of the park. They also have a small glass bridge that is limited to ten people if you are into this kind of thing.

This place is perfect for young families with small children. Kids can take pictures of birds without additional charge. It is not too big when they get tired, but it is not too small either. The bird park staff also give the opportunity for visitors to hold to a hula hoop as a bird will fly through it. If you take the time, ask the Birdland park staff about birds' behavior. A couple of them know the birds' personality and do their best to have birds on your arm if you ask them. Some children look forward to it but some would refuse it.

The bird show is pretty cool. If you are eager participants, please sit in the front row and be ready with your camera. You'll get a good close-up picture of the eagle.

Great place for family vacation, especially when you are coming with children. They had shows with the birds too, which are really cute and nice. Most of the birds look healthy and well taken care off. It is also easy to buy the ticket as you can buy them online.

However, I have one feedback: please take a better care of the parrots, especially those in the photo areas (you can immediately see them when you arrive). I arrived there at around mid-day, it was really hot and the parrots looked thirsty. There were water bowls but they were on the floor and the birds could not reach it. If I may suggest, it would be nice if you can put a roof or a canopy above the perch, so they are protected from the heat and please make sure they can reach the water bowls. Also, when visitors arrive, they would immediately see them and would want to touch them. Please make sure that there are always staff who are there with the parrots to avoid them becoming stress. When I was there, there were quite many visitors. Two (baby) sun conures were visibly stressed and scared. They even fell off the perch.

I recommend visiting this place, but it would be even better if not only the visitors but all the birds there...

One of the coolest place to visit in Jakarta. This bird park is brand new, not really big but everything is pretty clean & tidy. What makes it so special is that they let the birds roaming around like in a real nature, they don't keep the birds in a cage (only few small one) but other than that all these different types of species are all living in harmony. Its crazy, never seen anything like this before. Props to the mgmt, this is how to do it, unlike other bird parks that are only to showcase the birds on their tiny cage. You can touch the birds, even some kid just running around chasing the birds & it seems that the birds knows that they're just playing.
