My initial visit to SeaWorld Indonesia in the 1990s was marked by a sense of wonder and a relatively affordable ticket price of only Rp 11,000. However, a recent revisit in early 2025 revealed a stark contrast to my earlier experience.

During this peak season, the park was overcrowded and lacked the educational value that one would expect from an aquarium. SeaWorld Indonesia seemed to have transformed into a crowded night market, characterized by slow-moving crowds and a generally unpleasant atmosphere.

The aquarium's water quality appeared to have deteriorated, with murky conditions diminishing the visibility of marine life. Additionally, long and slow-moving queues marred the visitor experience. The introduction of numerous cash-grab features further detracted from the overall appeal of the park.

It is evident that the management of SeaWorld Indonesia has not prioritized enhancing the visitor experience. A more comprehensive self-assessment is urgently needed to identify areas for improvement and prevent a recurrence of these issues.

While the cleanliness of the restrooms was commendable, it is disheartening to note that this positive aspect was overshadowed by the overall decline in the park's standards. The dedicated cleaning staff deserve recognition and a commensurate increase in their compensation.

In conclusion, SeaWorld Indonesia has the potential to be a valuable educational resource for children. However, the current state of the park falls short of these expectations. To attract and retain visitors, the management must focus on improving water quality, reducing wait times, and enhancing the overall visitor experience.

A more strategic approach, informed by regular self-assessments, is essential to ensure the long-term success of this...

Sea World Ancol in Jakarta, Indonesia, offers a captivating marine experience for visitors of all ages. Located within the Ancol Dreamland complex, it houses a diverse range of marine life, including various species of fish, sharks, rays, and sea turtles. The main attraction is the underwater tunnel, which provides a 180-degree view of the aquatic world, allowing visitors to feel immersed in the ocean environment.

The exhibits are well-designed and educational, offering insights into marine ecosystems and conservation efforts. Interactive touch pools let visitors get up close with starfish and other marine creatures, making it a hit with children and families. The feeding shows, particularly the shark feeding, are thrilling and informative, drawing large crowds.

However, some areas could benefit from modernization and better maintenance. Signage and information panels are sometimes outdated, and the facilities, while generally clean, show signs of wear. Despite this, the overall experience is enjoyable and educational.

Sea World Ancol also offers additional attractions like the Ocean Dream Samudra, which features dolphin and sea lion shows, adding to the overall experience. It’s a great place to spend a few hours, especially for families and marine life enthusiasts, though it may not match the scale and sophistication of some...

It's the biggest aquarium we have in Jakarta at the moment. It's located in a very secluded location next to our biggest theme park in Jakarta. It's clean and well adjusted in temperature. Always packed on weekend with families. And on weekday it's kinda less crowded, but sometimes school kids group would come in for study group, and solo visitor will often be forced to move away just so the group kids can enjoy the Main Tank Show as a group. It's kinda bummer because I also paid the ticket but treated like that... But I do understand it's hard to maintain the group, so they had to do that. Most of tank don't have any real plant/vegetation in it, sometimes the tank is completely empty, no rock, no plant, no fake plant, this also make us have easier access to watch them but it also give a very sad and grim atmosphere(to people who pays attention), I do find 4 decorative tank with real plants and they are marvelous. Would go there to watch those aquarium for hours until some kids start tapping n slapping the glass. Also their mummified big Stingray? The kite shape fish, was enormous.
