Read moreThe perfect neighborhood mall. Decent selection of restaurants, a gym, not overcrowded movie theater. This mall is a breath of fresh air compared to the precedent malls for people in this area - Pluit village, Emporium Pluit, Pluit junction.
The Good:
Not overcrowded, nice selection of essential stores such as uniqlo, muji, food hall, best denki, ace hardware. You can get most stuff you need for day to day here.
Restaurant selection is actually really good - ootoya, Song Fa, pu tien, 2 Thai restaurants and my personal favorite - AW kitchen. Other notable mentions include putu made, Chung gi WA, the decent food court.
Toilets are always very clean here. Kudos to the cleaning staff.
Union is there for the "anak hits"
The so-so:
The lobby situation is confusing. How many lobbies do you need for this place? Good luck finding the taxi stand or meeting your drivers if it's your first time here
The parking situation can be a crapshoot on the weekends. Why do they block so many spots for the valet is mind-blowing haha...
The Bad:
Location, location, location. This area of pik is overcrowded. If you are coming in from the Muara Karang area, you'll want to blow your brains up going through the Burger King junction. If you're coming from the highway, you might have better luck. Either way, you'll be in a pretty sour mood by the time you get here tehee..
They have trouble maintaining the road surface here in the complex. The road is in pretty terrible shape right now (Feb 2020). These bricks roads gotta go man. They are a nightmare...
Read moreMostly famous due to the school across the street (Tzu Chi School). When exiting the toll/highway, you'll see a cylinder-looking structure of the mall. The mall is filled with a gigantic main lobby filled with different types of events each month or 2., with 2 hotels, the Swiss Hotel and Mercure. It also has 5-star restaurants like 海底捞 or Chung Gi-WA. You can also watch movies in XXI with comfortable elite seats for a playdate, etc. Some shops can be used for your daily life indoors and outdoors, and it's mostly crowded due to Play Topia (a playground) and the events in the Main Lobby. When the sun begins to set, you can see a wonderful view of the sunset in the food court. The mall also allows dogs to enter, but make sure your dog uses a diaper, so he/she doesn't get 'public attention' to people nearby. But when it comes to parking or exiting the mall, it might take 5 minutes to get out due to the narrowness of the road and the cars that want to get in. That's a reason why PIK is sometimes traffic. So, in my opinion, this is a great mall to visit in your daily life when living in the...
