Sport Stube — Restaurant in Jakarta

When reaching there expectations went up, because the location at the golf driving range/gallery and the wooden interior set up are exclusive and at the same time welcoming. Unfortunately the service did not manage to keep the experience at the same high level. Although friendly it took far too long until they came back to take the order after handing out the menu. Ordered a Hunters-/Jäger-Schnitzel with roasted potatoes expecting a nice and creamy mushroom sause, but very disappointing it came only with a small cup of dark brown sauce with some slices of mushroom inside. I cannot remember that I ever received a dark brown sauce with a Jägerschnitzel before, but the roasted potatoes were quite nice. While having my dinner I was watching the various sports that were shown on the various well located tv screens, but surprisingly just shortly after I had ordered my second beer one of the staff walked around and just switched all the screens off, not caring if any of the guests was watching. That ended my intention to remain any longer and I finished my drink and left. At the moment I am still considering if I should go there again to give a second chance, because I hope that this visit was just a bad exception...

Each time we came to Jakarta, Sport Stube was always a must-go-to restaurant. Today, we just arrived in Jakarta, checked into the hotel & straight forward to Sport Stube. Sisil, the guest relationship lady, welcomed us with complimentary ‘welcome back’ nachos. What a good memory of her and an example of excellent service.
