A World-Class Venue in the Heart of Jakarta

Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) continues to prove why it remains one of the most trusted and prestigious event venues in the capital. I recently attended (and have previously helped organize) events here, and the experience consistently exceeds expectations — whether it’s for corporate conferences, exhibitions, weddings, or concerts.

First of all, the location is unbeatable. Situated in the heart of Senayan, JCC is easily accessible from all major parts of the city and close to several hotels, malls, and transport hubs. Despite being in a busy area, the traffic flow around the venue is fairly well-managed, especially during big events.

The facility itself is spacious, clean, and versatile. Whether it’s the Plenary Hall, Assembly Hall, or the exhibition areas, each space is thoughtfully designed to accommodate large crowds without feeling chaotic. The sound and lighting systems are modern and professional — important for both speakers and performers. I also appreciate how the venue has been maintained over the years; it still feels relevant and prestigious without losing its charm.

The event support team is excellent. From security to technical crew and ushers, everyone is well-trained and professional. They’re used to handling large-scale events and it shows in their smooth coordination and problem-solving on the ground. Even during peak times, the flow of people, registration, and access control is efficient.

Catering services and F&B stalls during expos are also a plus. They’re varied, clean, and offer enough seating areas for guests to take breaks comfortably. Toilets are clean and well-stocked (which isn’t always the case at large venues, so this is worth mentioning!).

Parking is extensive and there are options for both outdoor and basement parking. For VIP or event staff, there’s a clear system in place which helps everything run smoothly behind the scenes.

What really stands out is the flexibility and scale JCC offers. Whether you’re attending a niche business seminar with 50 people or a grand exhibition with thousands of attendees, the venue adapts perfectly. And with its reputation, simply hosting an event here already brings a certain level of prestige and trust.

Just went here very recent to visit Indonesia Maternity, Baby & Kids Expo after a long absence to visit from any exhibition held in JCC but man did they welcome with numbers of disappointment on Saturday afternoon. Here goes the list : The car queued to get into entrance was very unorganized, there was no staff to be seen ( As If there was one ) so basically it took 1 1/2 hours to get inside complex of JCC which took only 1.5 km ( that's right one and half damn fine hours wasted ) The was a lot of road damaged inside the complex ( If you are looking to test your off road vehicle then look no further ). At night lots of parking area place was completely dark ( a gentle reminder to plan where you park your car where there is street light if you plan to stay until at night - but then was no guarantee that the street light works ). The restaurant at the corner in hall B deserved most disastrous restaurant award of the year. When we ordered food at 20:00 from 10 food on the menu there was only 1 that was available and it was nasi rames ( Good God ), hold on even better that when the food came the portion was suitable for Kids ( Chicken leg was more like frog leg, the size of tempe was only for 1 bite, the rice was mushy and cold ) and each portion comes with the cost of Rp 70.000 for crying out loud ! There was lots of thugs on parking lots ( After you pay at the gate entrance after entering the complex you will meet these thugs near the parking area - eventhough there was already numerous complaint about this the management did nothing ). Lots of unorganized food stall outside building around the complex. The exhibition was dirty ( lots of garbage lying around without seeing any cleaners did they job ).

Can't think any logic reason how JCC still survives from these type...
