Just wonderful.
Drinks: delicious fresh fruit juices made directly behind you in the yard, watermelon was our favourite and we couldn’t resist taking the dragonfruit juice as well.
Starters: we took the bruschetta and the calamari/onion rings and that would have sufficed as a meal by itself. The tomorrows in the bruschetta were super soft and sweet, and the batter around the calamari and onion was delicious (not super thick as we Europeans are used to, it was perfect)
Main course: my mother took the pork ribs, they were absolutely delicious. The meat fell directly of the bone, they were that moist and perfectly cooked. 5 ribs, a small portion of fries and a small salad was everything she needed for her satisfactory meal. My sister and I took the pad Thai, perfectly spiced and just wonderful.
Ambiance: super sweet restaurant, where the benches are made from the inside of the boats you see by the water. The place is a little isolated which allows you to enjoy the jazzy music and the sounds of nature.
Thank you for such an amazing night with...
Read moreHands down best local food in Nusa Ceningan and as well in Nusa Lembongan. For us definitely higher rated then Warung Putu in Nusa Lembongan, which seems to be rated #1 on the island. You need to try the dungky burger and also the fruit bowls! Also probably the best fresh juices we tried in Bali so far. The owner (used to cook for a 5* resort), his wife and his sister prepare everything fresh, give you also recommendations what you should try and the portions are bigger compared to other warungs. Prices for food are a bit more expensive but absolutely fair and trust me, the quality is definitely worth it! Besides the 5* food the owner family is an extra plus. They are supporting (my wife had some longterm neck pain and owner organizes muscle massage for her from his father-in-law) and not(!) moneydriven! They are just happy, if you feel happy while eating at their restaurant. You shouldn’t miss if you stay in Nusa Ceningan and if you stay in Nusa Lembongan, I strongly recommend to cross the yellow bridge for this food...
Read moreThe culinary highlight of our Bali trip. Prepare to be charmed by the familial service and the popcorn appetiser that is brought to your table as soon as you are seated.
Anything you select from the menu is a WIN-WIN. The chicken samosa is a particular highlight, do not miss! Too many other hits to mention such as the beef rendang, the finger-lickin pork ribs, the traditional Indonesian tuna steak and/or the chicken leg. While there are western options on the menu, your tastebuds should steer towards the Indonesian fare. They will thank you for it.
The ambience is lovely and the staff will feel like instant friends (thank you again Komang and Kadek for looking after us so well).
Don't be surprised if you find yourself wandering your way here more than a few times after your first visit and then waddling away after – you won't leave hungry.
(Note: You may need to explain to the adorable on-site puppy why there are never any leftovers to share. He'll be very disappointed and...
