Nusa Lembongan is a one-of-a-kind island experience. It is worth visiting Nusa Lembongan to explore not only one but two stunning islands! The neighbouring Nusa Ceningan is accessible via a charming yellow bridge, which is a popular Instagrammable location in Bali. The most common way for people to get between Nusa Lembongan and Bali is by fast boat. The distance is about 15 kilometres between Bali and Nusa Lembongan across a passage of water known as the Badung Strait. The fast boats typically take 30-40 minutes to do the crossing, depending on the prevailing conditions. COMMON QUESTION - how long should I spend on Nusa Lembongan? Once on the island, most people would spend 3 or 4 nights on Nusa Lembongan for their first trip, though we typically find on return trips guests spend 5-7 nights on the island or even skip Bali entirely and spend their whole holiday on Nusa Lembongan! Nusa Penida demands a bit more commitment as it involves a longer boat ride, approximately 45 minutes, from Bali. On the other hand, Lembongan, being closer, offers a shorter journey of around 30 minutes from Bali – making it ideal for those planning a quick day-trip from the mainland. The reality is that Nusa Lembongan is more expensive than Bali. Everything on the island arrives via the local ferry and is hand carried off at the beach. Expect prices to be higher than in Bali and locals less...

Really don't understand 5 star reviews and words about paradise and heaven. It's just overpriced hype, full of garbage and cheesy buildings around. Overpriced and worst food ever (chicken choped with bones and veins really(?). Completely broken roads. Only few scam atms which wipe out your bank account. No gas station (broken for months) and they just sell you one bottle of gas for 50k. Always trying to cheat you everywhere. Poor internet does now work, few sites even not loading at all (blocked eg. Reddit). Terrible experrience, really regret my visit. I came for two weeks but definitely will leave as soon as possible even if I can not get back money from prepaid accomodation. Do not reccomend to stay for more than 3 days! Or even better, just go for one day trip from Bali, to dive, snorchel and see around. Everyday scamming is pretty common here, but usually in way they tell you with the fake smile on the face to you directly, that it's like that on the island. The last what I need to mention, I have feeling locals really don't like tourists, even if they are the only source of their bussinesses. They are always smiley and nice only if they want to sell you something. If you don't buy, they turn completely oposite immediately. One of the worst and most hostile places I wisited in my life... never been hapier, then leaving this s**y island. Never ever...
